Anyone know if New Smyrna ran last nite? It seems like everyone got their show in (except Auburndale). Was wondering, since I haven’t seen anything here. From a selfish point of view I hope they got rained out since I would love to go for a make-up of their Sportsman 50. Anyone? Bueller? Anyone? :aetsch013:
They ran. A’dale rained out and a few hauled the mail over to NSS to make it over 20 sumthin’ Sportsman cars. Kyle Maynard drove from last twice to take 2nd.
Great job by the Campers Paradise Team… :huepfen024:

Sportsman ran last night and it was a great showing! 18-20 cars showed and I believe some of them came from the rained out FUPS race. Phil Luizzo won with Maynard second and Chuck Hill third.
Go to speednetdirect.com and then go to Results and select New Smyrna Speedway. Don’t know who does it, but the results are usually posted by Sunday noon. Hope that helps.

We did pick up one Sportsman from Auburndale (Kyle Maynard). Two other cars made the tow over but they were Super Stocks and were not legal for anything we ran last night so they went out with the Strictly Stocks to have some fun and literally had the crowd on their feet up until the checkered flag.
All in all it was another good night. The new Rain Policy which has been in effect seems to be working very well. We had rain on the radar 2.3 miles from the track up until shortly after 8pm.
Would like to also thank Central Florida Raceway Ministries for putting on the 2nd Annual Pinewood Derby. We keep working the kinks out. Last night’s event went a lot smoother than 2012 and we still have some work to do but all in all the kids seemed to really enjoy it. 46 cars raced in the Pinewood Derby and thanks to CFRM it was all free as they provided all the cars, paints, stickers, etc.
We will see everyone on Wednesday for the 15th Annual Clyde Hart Memorial 125 for the Bright House Challenge Series… Time Trials are set for 6pm. Autograph Session 6:30. Pre-Race Ceremonies and Driver Intros at 7:10 and Green Flag at 7:30pm. Total of 200 Laps of Racing on Wednesday Night. Hope to see everyone there.
Thanks guys for the info. Damn! I shoulda followed Kyle over when he made the trip. I had thought about jetting over there, but Rex made it sound like it was gonna rain all night and NSS is a looooong way from Port Richey. We went to Smokin’ Jim’s for some awesome BBQ and it never rained a drop all the way home Great to see a big field of Sportsman at NSS. Congrats to Kyle, sound like he drove a hell of a race. That kid can wheel a Sportsman. He put on a show at Ellisville last week too! Hey Mr. Hart, how about another Sportsman 50 later in the year? If it’s not on a FUPS night you could have an even bigger field! :ernaehrung004:

You’re very welcome guys. And for anyone out there looking for a camper, service or parts, why not give Camper’s Paradise your business? They sponsor not one, BUT TWO CARS and pay for that nice ad above that helps keep our beloved KARNAC going. I think we all need to support those that put up those precious $$$ that keep our sport alive.
Campers Paradise has some race trailers too, including my old trailer I traded for a new one…
