That is one sweet ride… and ironic that you post it on the anniversery of Richies death.
I believe it was 30 years ago today that we lost a Legend, and the all-time King of Modified racing.

That would be AWESOME to see that car appear at the Reunion.

Richie was killed in '85.

One year Richie showed up for speedweeks with a Cavilier body with a small block in it, and a Pinto body with a big block in it. The first night he ran the Cavilier with the small block. The second night he ran the Pinto with the big block. The third night he had switched the engines and ran the Cavilier with the big block, and off course the forth night he ran the pinto with the small block. That was the kind of racer Richie was, he would party hard, but he worked at his craft even harder. He may have been the greatest racer of all time!

This yr. i think the reunion is going to be spectacular. Hearing from some very exciting ppl… Hope to see you there…That car is awesome.

Richie Evans

I was priviledged to see him race at Oswego, N.Y. on a Sat. night of Super Dirt week a few yrs. back, he had the only race car there, all the rest seemed to me to be closer to show cars. Over the yrs. the more I’ve read of his racing , I feel that he is just about the best legend in all of auto racing.
