TBARA SPRINTS HEADLINE FINAL NIGHT OF RACING FOR 2013 AT ORLANDO SPEEDWORLD
Orlando SpeedWorld completes the 2013 racing season by hosting an event that was rained out back in June featuring the TBARA Sprint Cars and a variety of other classes.
The TBARA Sprints also wrap up their season with this event. Tampa’s Dave Steele has already nabbed the 2013 TBARA driver’s championship but there will be a battle going on to see who will be runner-up to Steele as Joey The Ace" Aguilar, Mark Gimmler, and Dude Teate hold the next three positions in the TBARA driver points, all within 17 points of each other for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th places. Steele was also the TBARA driver champion in 2005 and 2009 to go along with several United States Auto Club (USAC) titles he has earned during his career.
Joining the Sprints will be the Legend Cars, Super Stocks, Strictly Stocks, Antique Stock Cars and Bandoleros. Pit gates open at 3 pm with practice slated from 5-7 pm. Grandstand gates open at 6 pm and racing begins at 7:30. Arm bands from the June rainout will be honored at the pit gate.
Again, this is the final event at SpeedWorld for calendar year 2013 with the track returning to action in March of 2014 as the speedway celebrates its 40th anniversary season.
