Good show at Ocala so far

At 7:22, its intermission, after heat races

About 15 Limited Lates, 2 heats
Approx 20 Mini Sprints, 3 heats
Hobby Stocks, maybe 15-18, 2 heats
Modifieds, I think 16, 2 heats
TQ Late Models, 13, 2 heats
Late Models, short field of 15 or so, 2 heats
Thunder Stocks, close to 30 of them, 3 heats.

Nearly 125 cars in the pits, features starting soon.

Mini Sprints just called for their ‘Dash for Cash’ race.

Sounds like Hornets on track now. Didn’t know they were coming up, or even scheduled for tonight. This is what I get for sneaking out for a beer in the car… missed a race.

2 Thunder Stock B-Mains

First feature is Limited Lates… 13 start.

On a real rough track so far, Cecil Eunice picked his way up front and is putting on a school for the rest of them.

The 71 car just dropped a drive shaft. Something tells me it won’t be the last one we see on track tonight.

Old Man Cecil gets the win, over long time East Bay regular Forrest Gough, and Bubbas kid, Tyler Clem. On one lap the kid is bad-fast… the next lap he’s a weapon.

Cecil’s doing double duty with his Super Late in a little bit.

Mini Sprints lining up… 17 start after the 20 car of Craddock flipped BIG time in the heat. First lap sees another on its side… the 77 of Robbie Smith, who flops it back on all 4’s, and restarts the race… how cool…!

Another HUGE flip with the 25 of Conner Boyle (?). At least 10-12 feet in the air. Red flag obviously… driver is fine.

Jim Young out of PA, came to town to SMOKE the locals. He’ll be here all the way through Speedweeks.

The 67 normally run by Dirk Miller (but a different driver tonight) got 2nd, with Eddie Moss Jr. in 3rd.

Hobby Stocks rolling out… 20 of them.

Brian Morgan from Okeechobee, gets a flat on lap 2… restarts from the tail, and takes the lead just before the clock-runs-out, or the next yellow, whichever comes first. Shortened race, but hell of a drive from the back.

Mods lining up… Looks like 15 of them. Bronson, Pratt, Matthews, Stewart… could be a good one here.

Thanks for the play by play.

Contact early between Bronson (body damage) and Jeff Matthews (nose first towards the wall, but no damage) has Matthews out back

Nice job of driving puts him 4th on a mid race caution.

Bronson wins over the 54 that I’ve never seen, then Roger Crouse, Jeff Matthews, and a 27 that isn’t Jason Garver, but not sure who it is… The name sounds similar to Garvers name.

Thanks F118. billy

Jason told me they were going to dirt.

Connor’s last name is Borah, glad he’s ok!

67 would be David Hall, Dirk’s car is the 68. They’re identical cars, so easily mixed up.

Thanks for the updates! Wish we could have had our mini sprint there, but we had too many other plans this weekend.

14 Late Models line up, while Joe Dirt announces this years track champions.

Special KUDOS to Charlie O’Neill , who got the Mod title at age 72. He’s a bit special to me, as he was one of the first to support the Mod Reunion.

Yellow on lap 6. Bronson and the 69 that I think is Bryan Bernhart (sp) puts a pissed off 69 in the fence.
Ivedent Lloyd leads, with Bronson, Pratt, Matthews and Shan Smith in the top 5

99 of ??? spins, gets drilled by Cecil Eunice’s 22. Trying to catch drivers name in the 99.

Missed something … Scott Laggase in the 8 is 2’nd. They put Bronson to the back for his involvement in the crash.

Lloyd wins over the 54 Dalton Myers, Kyle Bronson, Scott Laggase, and Carter Stokes in his 33.

Major barrel roll in the Thunders. Looked like he lost a wheel in turn 1, and started cartwheeling. Driver is okay, but don’t have a name yet.

Excellent race so far with a full field. It took 4 heats and 2 B-Mains to slim it down to the 24 starters.
