More track time for the drivers in a more condensed show…Nice change NSS !

so we are doing heat races now? … Kewl!!

Is this gonna be every week for now on

I hope so. ‘Features Only’ shows suck, both for the fans, and the racers that only get to go out and race once all night.

Not worth $15 to see 5 or 6 total races.

At Volusia, you’ll see 10 or 12 heats, and then 5 features… for the same $15 (and I think that price includes my drive-in parking cost too).

Dollar for dollar… I’ll take 15-17 races over 5 any day of the week.

Actually,VSP is $12 at the front gate and also cheaper for the kids $8 (12-17) .Consessions are much cheaper at VSP also.

You are correct though,I will be headed to NSS this weekend instead because of the change.

ABSOLUTELY I will not drive over 100 miles one way for features only.

S/East plan on it for the regular nights and possibly nights with 50 lappers. I’m going to watch the time on the regular shows and see if we can keep things moving and still get the fans/racers out at a reasonable hour.

To everyone thanks for your input we were wondering how features only was affecting our attendance.

2 weeks ago, VSP had a rain delay of about 2 hours. NSS show was already done that night before VSP even started.

If I’d have been a crystal ball owner, I could’ve caught BOTH complete shows in one trip. Would’ve been cool…

Point being, that if you can have a Features Only program done by 9:30 or so, it doesn’t take much tweaking to get Heats & Features in by 11:00

Keep things ROLLING like VSP does. One one race if finished, the next is already lined up, in position, NO pace laps (in heats anyways) and the GREEN comes out.

Very few laps are used for pace laps and/or organizing the restarts. There’s no reason for 5 caution laps for a simple spin out that’s already fixed itself… go back to RACING.

Heats are a welcome addition !

Kim for president ( if she’s a republican )

Thank you…This will motivate me get my car finshed and back to track sooner. Now we just need work on getting the purse up:)

Races complete by 10:30,home before 11pm…Great job.

Heat races

The only way I would ever want to watch heat races, if they determined, who would make the main/feature. Like, the top 5 from each heat will advance to the main. In my opinion just to have them to take up time is a waste… Vince

Just sayin I want all the racing I can get.

Then, base your feature lineup on heat race finish, and invert that.

It gives guys some track time, especially if you’ve been trying to correct a setup issue ever since you unloaded.
