FIVE DIVISIONS IN ACTION SATURDAY NIGHT AT NEW SMYRNA SPEEDWAY

NASCAR Whelan All-American Series action resumes Saturday night at New Smyrna
Speedway led by the highly competitive Pro Late Model division. Sportsman
Cars, Mini Stocks, E-Modifieds and Strictly Stocks will also be on the card.
Rich Clouser will be going for his third straight Pro Late Model win. The
Deland driver is the only one so far this year to score two victories in the
class and he’ll face a host of top competitors once again this week.
Meanwhile, in the E-Modified class, Jarrett Korpi will be looking to post his
eighth win of the year. Korpi has been dominant this season but there are
several drivers that have been looking better recently including veteran
Junior Beckner and 14-year-old Modified rookie Matthew Green. Plus Merritt
Island’s Justin Reynolds has a new E-Mod that he debuted in the Billy Gunn
Memorial last week and he should be a factor right out of the box after
posting three wins in three starts already this year with his Super Stock
car.
Pit gates open at 4 pm with division practice scheduled from 5-6:45 pm.
Grandstand gates open at 6 pm with racing at 7:30 pm starting with eight-lap
heat races for the Mini Stocks, Sportsman, E-Modifieds and and Strictly
Stocks. During intermission, fans will be invited on the front stretch for a
special autograph session with drivers from all classes. 25-lap features will
follow intermission for the Mini Stocks, Sportsman, Pro Late Models and
E-Modifieds, then the evening wraps up with a 20-lap contest for the Strictly
Stocks.
Adult admission is $15 with all seniors (65+) and active military personnel
with ID admitted for $13. All kids 11 and under are free.
