Congrats to Dorer on the win- where’d he start?

Thanks for the updates.

That was one of the best races I’ve seen in a while! Jesse Dutilly picked up a fan in me tonight. He raced a hell of a race, didn’t drive over anyone and fought hard and clean for every position he picked up. That last yellow was unfortunate.

However, I feel like every fans out here got screwed out of what could have been a better race by Stephen Nasse. Taking out 4 of the top 5 cars with 30 laps to go was just plain dumb.

Jesse drove the wheels off his hotrod tonight, and made lots of new fans, congrats to steve on the win,

Jesse Dutilly drove his rear end off, I hate that he came up a little bit short. As far as Nasse goes I don’t have any words to describe it. He took the race away from several good cars including his own. He drove Webster dirty all night and finally takes the whole bunch out. Daniel Webster is one of the cleanest driver’s out there and it sucks to lose it that way. Nasse should be ashamed for driving like that especially in this race honoring his uncle. He has the best equipment and is too good of a driver for that. He certainly didn’t like it when Van Dorn knocked him out of the race during the Governor’s Cup. Hats off to Jesse Dutilly he gained a lot of fans tonight.

Jesse Dutilly is a long time racer at Desoto and a crowd favorite. He almost pulled off the bonus money. Good race.
I’m glad the rain held off and they got the show in. It was worth the drive and it was for a good cause.

What was the “cause” besides it being a Memorial for Bryan Wescott? Was there a charity that benefitted?

I don’t know if any charity benefited , though it would be a nice gesture for Yoho to donate the money he got from forcing the drivers to purchase his gas.
As far as i know, this was a race put on by friends of Bryan Wescott.

Crazy night rain everywhere ,a dust storm ,ice bucket loader challenge, I think they broke the trophy ,leader wrecks, fight at flag stand ,wreck under yellow flag ,pace truck in the way on a restart to top it all off the 30 car gets a bad restart and does not get the bonus on the last lap. Oh fireworks and lots of cold beer. That was fun right there I don’t care who you are. Lol

?

I found this to be an odd question? Does there need to be some kind of “cause” for a track to put on a big race? I am fine with the “cause” being, make money to pay the rent. And make some profit, which a lot of tracks are having a hard time doing.

Anyway, the race was great, lots do side by side racing, and passing. 26 cars, almost all of them drove a real clean race. Looks like they put something down, to make the outside the preferred groove. Great job, I would go back for sure.

I asked because Matt said “it was for a good cause”. I was wondering what that “cause” was. Geez, it’s kind of irritating when people comment without reading the whole thread.

And BTW, while I am 100% behind tracks being profitable and viable money makers in order to be viewed as something that is worthwhile for the owners to continue operating, anything said to be “for a good cause” means for a charity, NOT for profit.

I do find it honorable that the friends of Bryan Wescott came together to put on this awesome event to honor the memory of their friend who passed away way too young.
