Yes, for the kids! Why don’t you take EVERY penny (no overhead) and give it to the kids… do you? If you do so, I stand corrected. What would each kid get? You know that people can do that on their own without your thing to give publicity to whomever?

Another one that hides behind a key board and doesnt have a clue !

Groundpounder, you sir are another one, a stirrer who does not have a clue. My record is wide open I have a board of people that all attend meetings see the financials. In these 8 years to date we have raised over $160,000 that has now helped 20 children and families. We make sure the bills are paid before we open the gates, so then everything that is raised at the events can be split between the families 3 this year and we keep some for operating expenses. I do not need to explain myself to you, those that know the event and support the event know. You are just one that likes to stir stuff and apparently has an issue with me. Get out from behind your made up name and keyboard. So you are not only slamming or questioning me but a board of respected people, so you may want to stop. None of us take a salary it is all donated time, by giving people for the cause of helping these families.

www.carsevents.com watch the video, we are trying to get it updated for the beginning of 2015, but it is a donated work by another supporter.

Well you didn’t really answer the question and you don’t have to…
Hey I am glad that you are comfortable with what you do. Many charities though, only get a small percentage of the money raised to the intended recipients.
Peace brother!

A legitimate question deserves a legitimate answer, however you wont get one from this guy. He automatically went on the defensive when all he had to do was answer a simple question. Anyone that has half a brain that donates to “charity” knows exactly how much of the donation actually goes to the “kids” or the actual cause it was intended for. A really good charity to donate your money is the Ronald McDonald House. 100% of what you donate goes directly to the RMD who uses it to house and feed the families of children that are in the hospital receiving specialized treatments. Like you said, more often than not, more of the money donated to a “charity” goes to overhead, expenses and other things rather than to where it was advertised to go.

Oh boy if it isn’t Mr Florian ?.actually I did answer the question sir

I did answer the question, and the question was meant to stir something up just like anytime you post Florian??..We as any other charity holding events has to cover costs, we try to be sure the bills are paid before we open the gates, the money then raised is split between the three families accept for a couple thousand for operating costs to begin the next years planning and events. Last year we raised a bit over 32,000 after event expenses and paid out $29,500 helping the three families and two other families during the year with some special needs. After paying filing with state, other fees and tax preparation we started the year with right at $3,000 in the bank to work on the plans for the Bowling event, getting printing done etc.

I am only defensive to people who want to stir things up Florian. I have nothing to hide and I have always given you straight answers you just don’t like them.

And people wonder why Florida racing is failing… People want to jump down everyone throat for everything and accuse them of all kinds of things with no true basis for their accusations… It’s RIDICULOUS people! Give the BS a rest and focus on fixing your racing community before there isn’t one!

Who accused anybody of anything???

EXACTLY. You asked a simple question and Rick went immediately on the defensive like he was hiding something.

Once you establish yourself as a “pathological liar” its hard to shake that off isn’t it?

This is the truth ?.. you sir are cancer in the racing community !

I did not lie and am not hiding anything, but you guys hide behind a keyboard?.

I answered the question, but ground pounder and you are just stirring things up that is the facts, and you certainly had no reason to be on my post.

This post was for the charity race, if either do not want to support that is fine but getting on it and starting things shows who and what you really are.

Hey Dude, see post #5

You are an angry dude…I’ll say a prayer for you!

I’ll remember…according to you, only your friends can post on your thread (not your post). Your anger probably made you make that error…No worry, no more from me here.

Chill Dude…

Hey Rick

Keep up the good work. Never met you but it seems you’re just trying to do something good for others. Don’t give up!

Add “idiot” to the pathological liar title that you currently carry. Since you lack the brains to pour piss out of a boot with instructions written under the heel, I will help you to understand what groundpounder was attempting to get out of you, but instead of answering his question you immediately went on the defensive as if you were trying to justify whatever it is that you are doing or to hide something. A person that donates to charity, especially a sum of $5,000 ( what you are looking for) has a right to know exactly how much of his donation is going to the intended source. Hell, you have no idea who he is and for all you know he could have been a sponsor! He may not “know” the event, but there was no need to respond like a 16 year old kid that was just informed that their car keys were taken away. That is the sign of a weak person and a horrible promoter…both of which clearly fit you. Groundpounder simply asked how much of the proceeds went to the actual cause. Many charities have so much overhead that very little goes to the cause. Here is a great example of how people in the business world would respond versus acting like a total moron:

Groundpounder,
Our events benefit local families. All proceeds, minus the bare essentials to operate, goes directly to those who need it most. Over the past 8 years we have raised over $160,000 that has helped 20 families. We have board meetings and all the financial information is readily available. If you are interested in helping support the race, please contact me for more information. Information may also be obtained via our website. I can be reached at the number below my signature if you would like more information.

The “moron” way of doing things:

I have witnessed first hand how you manage your affairs and you act as if you are superior to anyone that you come in contact with. Saying that you are “pathetic” gives you too much credit in my book. You also have a serious problem when it comes to telling the truth, dealing with others and the only thing bigger than your ego is the list of failures that pertains to you managing or being affiliated with a racing series. Good luck with your event!

Rick, I know you’ve been asked that question in the past. You answered it then and you answered it in the first reply you gave here. It’s obvious that a few people do not like you for whatever reason. I’ve been to your event in the past and I’ve seen the families you have helped. I think its a great thing your doing. Don’t let the ranting a few discourage you. Florida racing needs more people like you. It certainly doesn’t need more like Groundpounder and Nathan.

Some people get tired of Ricks Holier Than Thou approach to people.

He has Damned my soul, and sent me to the fiery pits of hell, more times than I can count.

It doesn’t help when claiming on one hand that he does all this out of the good of his heart (which I DO commend him for), and at the same time his math shows $2500 in “operating expenses”

When faced with a legitimate question about where the donations go, Rick chose the “how dare you question me & my integrity” defense.

I become verrrry wary of those that solicit donations, yet jump down throats when asked how it will be dispersed.

EXACTLY!!!

It’s not about whether you like Rick or not (how you can judge somebody you haven’t met is beyond me). It’s not about if you are a person of faith or not. It’s about the overall good that gets done and I commend Rick highly (as do the majority of people who commend what he does that are not posting). That’s $160,000 for families of sick children that is a direct result of what Rick does. All this while putting on a pretty cool event that doesn’t cost as much as most weekly shows. If Rick wants to buy coke and hot dogs for the people who volunteer or whatever, I could give a rat’s ass if that comes out of the bottom line. Rick is not a multinational conglomerate like McDonald’s that can absorb the costs (and get a healthy write off too, I’m sure). If you don’t like Rick as a track or series manager than that’s a different issue that shouldn’t be mixed with his charity work. Remember, Rick is the ONLY guy putting on a 100% charity race event in FL. Rick sacrifices his personal time and energy into this. Instead of attacking and scrutinizing him (all of the financial info is on his website, btw) why don’t the naysayers get up off their asses and be a part of the good that comes from his event and simply attend it. You don’t have to like Rick’s personalty to see the good he is doing. Keep up the good work Rick. The overwhelming silent majority appreciate it.
