Congratulations to Patrick Thomas for another feature win!

So I guess it is ok to spin the lead car out while running 2nd and put the lead car to the back and put the 2nd place car back up front now in 1st. And this was with 1 lap to go.

dd38

Hey dd, we pitted next to your driver Chad. Very nice crew there. Congrats to Chad on the 2nd place finish too.:ernaehrung004:

DD, I wasn’t there, so I did not see the incident.

But I know that is frustrating.

Still, y’all were in the hunt, speed and handling wise, for the win.

Did Dave Westerman announce the race?

Tank tried a bump 'n run move on The Hammer, but dumped him. DD probably feels they should have inherited the win! LOL. I like the look of DD’s car. Reminds me of an old school Tour Mod.

I hope Justin Starr is ok. He got turned into the frontstretch wall then hit a TON down in 1 and 2 and caught fire. Scary wreck. Justin is a good guy and he certainly didn’t deserve that. He posts here once in a while. Maybe he can tell us if he’s ok.

Patrick put on a clinic in the Sportsman feature. Man, is he on rails.

Sergi roughed up David Rogers for the win (a little unnecessary and disrespectful IMO). Brad May had them all covered until an issue slowed him down.

Everyone’s sweetheart Kim Brown looked “Pretty in Pink”! :o

Scary Wreck

Scott,

I appreciate the kind words.

I am a little sore as to be expected but I also feel very lucky that nothing more serious happened to me after that hard impact into the wall. I feel bad for the Pierce’s because Butch Pierce built that chassis in 1999 and Chad raced it for many years before letting me use it. It “was” a great car :engel016:

It would have been a hell of a GoPro video if I would have remembered to put it in!

Scary Wreck

Jim Jones got some pretty good action shots as well. Maybe he can post some up here.

Just glad to hear that you are OK. Too bad about the chassis. Chad’s a whiz, I’m sure he can fix it. But it would have to be expensive, no doubt. He definitely built it right because that’s the hardest hit I’ve ever seen a Sportsman take. The whole Pierce family are great people. I’m gonna miss tradin’ paint with ya! Hurry back!

Hey Joe J… I was there announcing as usual… Will get the full story out today as this is the first time I’ve had access to a computer since last week as my lap top is ipso facto right now because it needs a new power supply that I can’t afford right now…

Can’t say I , personally, agreed with the call at the end of the Modified race but I’m just the voice not the race director LOL… All these guys are my friends and I know Jerry and his car owner were both upset but took everything that went on like the professionals they are and will be back and win again as they usually do… Chad did a great job although Barbara Pierce told me he still ran this good late despite apparently dropping a cylinder, having very little brakes and a bad tire too! Guess dd38 really had everything ready to go for him! LOL…

Actually was very good to see David and the “Orange Crate” back at the track and I know he won’t post anything about it and I hope he doesn’t get p***ed at me for telling you guys but he is dealing with a very serious eyesight problem right now and you need to keep him in your prayers… Hang in there buddy!

That wreck Justin Starr had was downright scary and thank goodness he’s OK… Of course the always upbeat Chad Pierce says it’s not that bad and he can fix it…

Thanks to Jim Daley for the T-shirts we gave away to the kids… Can’t believe they only ran four cars!

It’s really been nice seeing Steve Hadley back as a regular in the pits… Had a chance to chat with him for awhile before the races… As you know he’s had a severe health issue and it’s good to see him back again enjoying the sport he loves and grew up with… He was a heck of a car builder and crew chief too…

Thanks for the update, Dave. I will certain say a prayer for David. Guys like Jerry Symons and Chad Pierce are what make me proud to be a part of this sport! Come see me when you get a chance!
