Showtime,

Hey Rick or Yoho,

What’s the chances of posting some kind of a update or story of last nights action? maybe some kind of PR man. How the mod race went down…the trucks ? Im just asking because im in another country and I would like to know. Im sure others would be interested as well. Hell could get more people interested in coming out…

They had to reset the Modified lineup because they used the wrong date for the lineup ( top three start 10,11,12 ). Then they put Hoelzle in the rear because he quote jumped the start when it looked like the 21 taped the brakes and made it look as if he got jumped. Hoelzle had 4 different restarts and they all looked fine to us. It was a good race with good competition. 21=25=9 top three

I didn’t “tap” the brakes…if that were the case then I would’ve probably been run over from behind…

Also, the lineup wasn’t changed due to a wrong date being used, it was changed because some weren’t happy with it and threatened to load up and go home.

I see

that Jefferson started last ? And yea yoho aint messing around with the starts…you jump and your done. Congrats to you Devon again…two in a row. cant wait to get home and give you a challenge. But this thread is to get some info out to everyone. Some P.R. work. Some props to the winning drivers like Devon. Information for people like me who cant be there.

Why weren’t people happy? Explain?

If I’m not mistaken Wayne started last because he pulled off in the heat. The racing as a whole was good. The truck race was surprisingly better than I was expecting. I will say they need to address letting lap cars know that the leaders are coming and to get the hell out of the way. This is twice in the last few races that the same lap car has been in the way and not known where to go. They made everyone spend the money on the raceceiver, and the only thing they use it for is to tell people the green is out.

Raceivers ?

they went to receivers ?

Just watched the video from Saturday night the #8 fired after the cone the 21 was late to fire so we start on the cone or do we wait for the leader. what if he did play games or spun his tires. So you penalize the other guy. Paint a stripe on the track so there is no judgment call by the driver or track.

The original lineup was based on the 100 lap special event, the new lineup was based on the prior 40 lap race which is why the lineup was changed. The track would not have changed it if they did not agree. Devin you yourself said you brought it to there attention earlier in the day.

They announced they were going to raceceivers weeks ago but all you hear is static the whole time. The feature line up was based off of the heat races. It was a good clean race for the most part.

I’d say that was a biased opinion…but I’m not going to get into that.

I did mention something to them about it prior in the day, but regardless of where I had to start, I was going to race, not load up and go home. The line-up was not based on the prior 40 lap race, because the 25 won that race, and he started 6th. It was based on the heat races.

When I saw the original line-up, I went into the office and simply asked for an explanation from Rick Day, the race director, since I was told something different at the beginning of the day. He gave me a legit answer over the track radio, and I accepted it and said thank you. I went from having to start 13th, to having to start 8th…y’all went from starting 12th, to starting on the pole.

I know how Yoho is about his cone, and he was standing right there…I’m not going to fire early, because I know he won’t give any warnings and will put me to the back.

Then paint a line on the track so the driver know when to fire

raceivers

So they are making the driver wear it ? or can the spotter wear it ? like citrus ? if so are they making a spotter corral with the guy running the receiver’s to be able to coordinate the line up ? I mean we do have transponders ? But anyway… I agree with you 8. if hes gonna be down there and judge the cone…may as well paint a line…that’s easy. Keeps everyone honest and easy to see for all… And whoever said tap the brakes ?? You sir have probably not been in a start or restart…We aint tappin brakes to get the other put to the back…we may mis judge or spin tires but we are not tappin brakes… Again Congrats Devon…And I still hope to get more info on the races. Oh Mod 8 wheres the video. I wanna watch it ?

I think most of the spotters are wearing them like they do at Citrus.

The spotter has it on our crew and we are trying to download the video directly from the camera, it uses the small magnetic tapes. We may have to go directly from the camera to a disk then load that on the computer to upload. We will post it

Mod 8

thank you…

LJ there is a setting on the Raceceiver to turn the squelch on and the static will go away. Also there was no chatter from race control that we heard at this race.

I’ll have to come see you at the next race and let you show me.
