During the JR Fan Club on the Track break lets get together in the breeze way. I will have the Ambassador School’s Go-Cart, Dwarf Car, and FASTRUCK on display. We can set down and have a quick meeting to see all the things we have at our disposal to promote.

I don’t think this decision is based on any failure but is simply a smart move during the rainy months. Racers will support a track all summer if you make a concerted effort to get the show in. But if it looks like rain or it’s raining in the afternoon then you are guaranteed a crappy fan count. I’m just disappointed that our short Sportsman schedule is going to have a race lopped off of it. Thinking about where I should now go race in July and August…

Definitely sucks to see them close for a couple months but I definitely agree a very wise decision based on the weather.
A random kind of out of the box thought… With the way Desoto did this, if it works well for them, for 2016… Two 13 race seasons that can each crown a champion.
Season 1 - April 2nd to June 25th
Season 2 - September 3rd to November 26th
Absolutely off the wall crazy idea to do it, but it might garner more consistent car counts too. There are a ton of guys who probably WANT to run for a points title, but just can’t afford to run 25-30 straight races. But if you split it up and award 2 champions and maybe even an overall if someone wants to chase the whole season, you may gain larger more consistent fields through the season. I don’t think it would hurt to try it. By awarding an overall champion as well, it wouldn’t hinder the usual way of doing things for those who like chasing a full season championship.

Actually,that is a good idea,When I raced up north the same cars were at the track week after week,year after year,because everyone raced for points.Down here,only the top 2-3 in a class run for points and nobody cares.
