Just think how many of those promoters should have left long before they did. Or better yet, found another vocation besides owning/promoting auto races.
There have been some very good ones over the years. And there have been a lot of terrible ones. The good ones have gotten the accolades they deserved through the years, from loyal racers, sponsors and fans.
The bad ones got pretty much what they deserved. And, as in life in general, there’s always the guys that get a bad rap even though they tried as hard as they knew how. I’m not sure how many fit that last category, but i’m certain some do.
