class drivers

what the heck gives, late model and sportsman drivers stepping back and driving in the bomber class. should be a no-no

This isn’t NASCAR, all local drivers do it for fun, and it could be due to several reasons. Which includes a driver lost his paid ride and still wants to race, a driver is helping a friend get his car fast, a driver is doing it for just the fun of driving!! Never judge anyone who just wants to race.

Unless it is a designated rookie class, I don’t see the problem.

Somebody should have told Ronnie Mcreary about 30 years ago.

Late models to demo derbies (and probably in the same night) , he was/is The Man.

Way to go Ron:ernaehrung004:

I noticed here in FL on a lot of the asphalt tracks the bomber classes are hurting, so heck they need all the drivers they can get. V8 bombers on dirt are pretty healthy though.

Yup. That’s why we have low car count. Lack of drivers. :wink:

All you car owners out there:

If you have a decent cell, cage, belts, seat, and a suit and helmet, send me a PM.

Your car will not have to sit any longer.

You should see up this way how many racers switch from N. E. 358 DIRT Mods to Crate Sportsman, just unbelievable.

Basically same car, less HP, as much fun for lot less dinero.

As long as they race, let them play.

Few week ago, during Super Dirt Week, at one satellite track, 82 of those Crate Sportsman showed up to race, 82.

Car counts were incredible at every show during Super Dirt Week.
Beside Syracuse, another 5 or 6 tracks held events, and it was very common for those drivers to run in several different divisions all week.
