Here's One For You...

Didja know that Formula One/Indy 500 champion Jimmy Clark of Scotland actually won a Stock Car race during his career? Well, it wasn’t actually a Stock Car race but he did drive a 1963 427 CID Ford Galaxie owned by Alan Brown (#121 leading in the second photo) to victory in the 1963 Molyslip Trophy Race at the Brands Hatch Circuit in Kent, UK for Group 2, Class A-D “Sports” cars… Two other Galaxies were entered and driven by British drivers Jack Sears and Gawaine Baillie but were DNF’s… Oddly enough, second place went to another Formula One/Indy 500 champion as Graham Hill took runner-up in a Jaguar Mk II 3.8… Other cars that competed in that race included Ford Cortinas Ford Anglias, Mini Coopers, Sunbeam Rapier Series IIIA’s, a Vauxhall VX 4/90, a Fiat Abarth 1000 TC and a Riley 1.5…

Very cool pics Dave! I have watched that video on youtube.
