Wayne Anderson wins 10k Full Throttle at Citrus County....then retires

Wayne Anderson took home a 10k payday at Citrus County Speedway tonight and then promptly got out of the car and announced his retirement from super latemodel racing. He said he would still run an occasional modified event but as far as the latemodel events go he said he had two sons to carry the Anderson name on and a whole host of young guys to carry Florida racing forward.Nick Neri finished second,Anthony Sergi third.Thirty four cars qualified with the top twenty locked in on time and the rest sent to a consi where the top five advanced on to the twenty five car main.Rob Kuhn Sr. won the twenty lap consi

Congratulations to Wayne on the win, and on a great career. He is one of the legends of Florida stock car racing.

Some of the best racers in the southeast put on a fantastic show. Another standing room only crowd saw some great side by side racing, lots of lead changes, and a very popular win by one of the best in the sport, Wayne Anderson. Thanks to Camron and everyone at Citrus County Speedway for a great night of racing. And thanks to Jimmy Cope for teching the cars

Congratulations Wayne!

And am looking forward to seeing you in a modified!
