From a report I read earlier NASCAR has mandated the numbers be moved forward towards the front wheel opening in 2022.A move obviously beneficial to corporate sponsors and teams looking to squeeze advertising revenue.One passing thought.How long before it’s a tiny number up by the cowl like a N.Y.City cab?Might as well add the roof lights & meter too.
Hey, I get it, sponsorship dollars make the world go around.
I would have preferred that they move them to the rear, but in the total scheme of things, it is a minor deal.
In the Rolex series, they have light-up numbers indicating the car’s position.
Which leads to the probable next NASCAR “thing”.
They can run them at night on the road course with 1/3 track lighting (again, like the 24 hour event) and light up the sponsor’s names like a field of Goodyear Blimps!
