It would seem we were headed for a second rain out in as many weeks, but the owners hung in there and we ended with a full night of RACIN’ last Friday.
Each time our Sportsman class went out for our heat races it started to rain(twice). Our Sportsman class was a jinx for sure. Both times we dried the track and only canceled the jinxed class heat race to run the feature only and got in all other races by midnight. Near 100 cars and trucks in the pitts also.

One more shower and we would have been done, but I second the kudos for hanging in there. It would have been very easy to just throw in the towel and go home, but we didn’t. And kudos to the fans too! They stuck with us despite the rain and the power failure too. We had to adapt on the fly and make a few sacrifices, but it all worked out in the end. I have no idea who put the hex on the sportsman class, but you guys definately have a hard time running races lately in the time alloted, whether it’s wrecks, fluid on the track, or rain storms.
