Patsy Murray Stewart Passes

I regret to inform everyone that my mom (Patsy Murray Stewart) has passed away. She was a statistician for Fast Lane Racing for 32 years. She was a staple in the Florida racing scene. She raced powder puff division at Sunshine Speedway, and later raced Enduro and also ran well during a Crash Up Derby. She went by the user id of “PSPetty”

A Celebration of her Life will be held at Flora Wylie Park in St. Pete, just north of the Vinnoy. This will be a casual event that will be an opportunity to look at photos and tell stories of your encounters with her.

Is this Patsy with the Anderson OWM?

Yes, she was with John and Richie Anderson along with starting with Gary Robertson who drove the 1x in OWM, Late Models and also Sportsman. John runs Sprint cars now. I will try to post a photo soon.

Patsy was a very dear lady and a very good friend. I will miss her alot. My prayers and thoughts are with her family.

Patsy, you will not be forgotten and forever in my heart.

I am so sorry. Patsy was such a lovely woman. a great friend. this really saddens me but now i know her illness must have been worse than i thought. Patsy never complained. racing has lost a fan, a promoter, a friend. God bless you Patsy. its been fun and i will miss you!

She was diagnosed in July with inopperable Lung Cancer. The damn doctor found a mass in Feburary but never followed up on it, even though the documentation shows that he was notified of this mass. The laws protect the doctor so much in this case that we cant go after the doctor on this. She fought the cancer as hard as she could, and she did a damn good job. She lost the fight, but I’m very proud of her. :engel016:

here’s a photo that some people have asked for…

Patsy was a very courageous woman who battled a few diseases along the way and she never acted sick. she was always pleasant (unless you messed with her racers) and i personally am very sad and feel an empty space in my heart. i dont know who you are but i guess you are a relative and if so please know there are alot of people who will miss patsy! you are in my thoughts and prayers. im sorry for your pain. thank you for letting us know.

I’m her youngest son. She did have a lot of battles that she faced throughout her life.

To Patsy’s son…

thank you for keeping us up to date and thank you for the wonderful photo of your mom… the last time i saw her, she was blonde. i love the new look. i am thankful Patsy isnt suffering anymore. my brother in law just passed away from lung cancer and it is a very hard battle. i know there is a place in heaven your Mom now fills… no more pain, no more troubles, no more sorrow…she was a lovely human being. i am so sorry for all the things you have to face without mom now. please call anytime you want or need to talk to a “friend”…
