Check out this link. It appears to be some Indiana tracks from the 60’s/70’s. Thought you might enjoy…
Ouch, that stings a little bit.
But thanks anyway.
Oh my gosh, right on, right on!
I stand corrected, yessirree bop.
Pretty darn cool, once I dived a little deeper into it.
You are correct, sir.
Just thought it was a prank all along, not at all it seem’s.
I’ll dive into it deeper, and talk at you soon.
Told ya’ not to let the home page fool you. The phot gallery is well worth looking at for people that like their Midwest racing history.
And here you were, thinking I was sending you to Gay, Muslim, Black Porn!
I’ll save THAT for Steven Wallace!!!
Thanks, buddy boy.
Yes, didn’t want the ol’ " gay black jewish nazis for Christ porn" site, as the prank would have been.
Thanks for not pranking me this time, as I stand corrected.
Trolled around a little, and think it’s from a raceway called Jeffersonville Sportsdrome in southern Indiana, down near Kentucky, built in 1947.
Still active, the raceway is, a 1/4 mile asphalt semi-banked track; Race only 4 divisions, all very strange looking machines, cut up sheet metal bodies, divided into 4 classes, on two tracks.
An Outlaw-looking oval class, and the same with a figure-8 class, and a Sportsman-looking oval class, and the same with a figure-8 class, plus an oddball class here and there. That’s it, and the place is always packed, it seemes.
Indy also has something kind of like that, except it’s a 1/5 miler, race alot of midgets there, as Mel Kenyen is the track record holder.
But thanks for the old timer shots!
