GREAT, Thanks Carol
Thanks a lot Carol!!!
Now I have some black guy riding around my house in a dark car with loud mufflers… says he just came up from down south where some crazy broad chased him away…said she must have been off her rocker to approach him cause he could have done anything at that point so he left.
BUT… he screwed up by coming up here… cause I do have the big 357 and looking to trade it in for a bigger/badder gun. I know how to use this baby…I will use it. Dude gonna need someone to come and pick up his car for him, cause he won’t be driving it NO MORE. His uncle JESSE can come a hollerin all he wants (cause he don’t work anyways).
Later
OSF (OH, Happy Holidays to everyone)
Oz, Have you lost it?
You have kids in the house not to mention yourself. You cannot afford to not have a firearm for protection. You owe it to the kids and yourself! The children can be taught CORRECTLY the safety and value of firearms. Too many crazies in this old world today not to protect yourselves. I was taught at a very young age and so was my daughter. As far as the fear of the kids around the guns which is definitely understandable, statistics show the kids who are injured or killed with “daddy’s” gun are the kids who are not trained and educated. PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE get yourself and the kids proper training and protect yourself. It is your 2nd ammendment right and your responsibility!
Well Carol, now that you heard the pro side of having a gun in the house for protecting you and the kids. Hear are come cons.
These are just a few personal experiences.
My uncle at 11 yr old put a .38 in a vise and hit it with a hammer. It richocheted around the shop and went through his hand.
My brother at 10 removed the buckshot out of one of my fathers shotgun shells for his sling shot. He put the rest of the shell in the trash. Back then in Ocala we burnt our trash in a burn barrel next to the house. Well, it went off and put a hole in the door of my dads Cadillac.
So know for me. At the age 7 I decided to tape a shotgun shell to the barrel of my daisy BB gun and go hunting. The brass part wrapped around the end of the barrek and the plastic stock on the BB gun broke to peices. Luckily I didn’t kill anything that day. Lets just say, it may be OK to have guns around the house but I’m not to sure about the bullets. Get a Pit Bull. :)LMAO Those were the days.
Know to get back on topic.
A 62 year old man with bad balance. How could he not have back problems. LOL
P.S. Carol. Grandma will be here at 5. I’ll tell here you said hi. Se will see you on Jan. 19.

ya know, i’m not trying to be offensive here but i really would like for you to explain to me how ANY of those instances could be construed as proper handling of either arms or ammunition?
if you cannot then you and yours are evidence for MMcGinty’s argument that people/children need to be taught respect and proper handling procedures for firearms.
I have to say that I got a kick out of those old meneries and laughed the whole time I typed it and was just giving my personal opion. But.
Todd, I never even implied that there was proper handling of anything. We were kids. Kids were curious. Most kids are. Todd, when was the last time you told your 7 yr old, “don’t tape a bullet to the end of your brothers BB gun”? Come on. And I am all for MMcGinty teaching kids firearm respect. That still doesn’t mean Carol should run out and buy a .357. If there was no ammo in the house these things would have NEVER happened.
Those things happened in my family by the time I was only 7. I am almost 50 now. In all those years I have never personally known of ONE person that has needed to use a firearm to protect there self in there home. But I do have a friend that his son had several people in his house having a party while he was gone. One of the kids was looking through the house and found my friends gun. I went off KILLING, yes KILLING one of the kids in the other room. My friend wasn’t even there and was charged. I bet he wish he had a dog instead of a gun.
So Todd. How many times have you had to defend yourself and your family with the use of deadly force? Or how many people do you personally know?
From my experience. If you need guns to protect yourself and your family you are probably doing something illegal.
Now, I am not saying that we shouldn’t have guns or anything like that. I had my first shotgun at 12 and still own the 57th gun Marlin ever made and several more. I was raised with proper firearm etiquette and was an avid hunter for many many years. I never bought a gun to protect myself. I was never tought that those firearm were for shooting another human being for any reason. This ain’t the wild wild west.
Wasn’t trying to start anything. I was just giving Carol something to thing about.
You guy’s went from Kasey misdemeanor to Carol buying a .357. Carol, believe me, with the kids around you are safer with a dog. Carol, You don’t need a gun to protect yourself. Unless your a drug dealer. Your not a dealer??? Right???
Drug Dealer? Whats up with that Mr. 59?
My money says Oz is not a dealer and guarantee you I’m not and never have been. I resent the fact that you would say anyone who has a firearm for protection must be doing something illegal. Until your last post, I respected your opinion. In an effort to avoid seeming childish I will refrain from name calling and bashing. I will tell you It only takes once for your GUARD DOG to be next door chasing “FiFi” or your perpatrator feeding your dog some drug to disable him/her or like my Dad’s friend who’s $1200.00 Guard Dog slept soundly next to their bed while the robber lifted wallet and jewelry from the bedroom. I’ll take my chances defending my family with a firearm and exercise my AMERICAN rights. Oh, by the way… I know we don’t have much to choose from for presidential candidates but I will be cancelling YOUR vote for Hillary!!!
MMcGinty. Your right, there is no need to become childish or start bashing. If you stated several opinions that I agreed upon and gained respect towards you for and a topic came up that we did not agree on. I would not say “until your last post, I respected your opinion” like I lost all respect for you. I would just agree to disagree on this topic. What’s up? It’s MY opinion like it or not.
The worst part is I agreed with you. I just don’t think you really practice what you preach. Again just my opinion. I’m sure you saw on the news the man that shot the 16 yr old boy in the back while running away from the mans front door after knocking on the mans door and lighting a bag of dog poop on fire. I guess that was his American right. Or the guy just yesterday that KILLED one and injured another after being run off of the road. He had a permit. To many people out there with guns that don’t practice what you preach. True firearm safety. If you truly practiced it you would know that your gun locked up in one spot and the bullets in a different lock up would do little to help protect your family from a predator. You will have better luck with the dog, mace or taser. And much less dangerous for small children.
MMcGinty, I asked Todd and know I’ll ask you. How many times have you had to use deadly force to protect yourself or your family? Or how many people do you personally know?
If you were a true advocate of firearm safety and been through the courses like myself and my sons you would know that you have have to go through the “three safety steps” before you are able to fire your firearm. Unless you are sleeping with a .357 load under your pillow it would do you no good if someone came in your house while you were sleeping.
A gun would not have helped your dads friend either. It would have only made things worse. If the dog didn’t wake up than I guarantee you the people didn’t either until it was to late. And if he did pull out a gun he and his whole family would probably be dead or injured now. Do you think the robber had a gun? Na, he was probabily no probation on a felony and lost his rights to bare arms.LOL Again, do you really want to discharge you firearm in your house with your childern or guest in the other rooms. Think about it.
I also exercise my American right everyday. I love me guns. My Grandfather gave me that Marlin. I have been an NRA member since I was a boy. I would never go for my gun and shoot it in my home for any reason.
I am watching CNN headline news now. Turn it on and watch the one about “Internet hoax killing”. That man has the American right also. His son was probabily tought firearm safty. Did they need to use it. Or would a dog mace or a taser of done better. Ask the family that is burying there son.
MMcGinty. I"m sure at the next race Carol will give me and my whole family a big hug just like the last race. I never insinuated that Carol or you was a drug dealer. But if you have ever needed to use a gun to protect your family than my opinion way change. Please watch CNN and give me your pinion. I will still respect you. It is just an opinion.
MMcGinty, I asked Todd and know I’ll ask you. How many times have you had to use deadly force to protect yourself or your family?
here’s the problem “Mr South”, you are completely ignoring the fact of Carol’s problem … that the drug dealers, gang bangers and home invaders are coming to her ‘clean’ neighborhood.
here, allow me to quote the relevant portion so you can’t miss it:
“there is a black gang of home invaders around here. they just killed a young girl a few months ago.”
they’re invading occupied houses and murdering people. and you think a dog is going to slow them down? ooooooo-kay.
Todd, when was the last time you told your 7 yr old, “don’t tape a bullet to the end of your brothers BB gun”?
if you teach your children proper respect for firearms you won’t have to specifically forbid every retarded possible circumstance they could come up with. at ages under 10, that respect would include not handling arms or ammunition without an adult around.
hey, how bout this:

an 18 year old Eagle scout engineering major kills himself. i suppose you want to forbid any of us from owning high powered cars now?
Mr. 59,
I’ve never said I lost respect for you, just your opinion. I don’t even know you. You are a stranger to me and strangers are just friends I haven’t met. I’m sure we would disagree on more than this one topic, but that is our AMERICAN right. To answer some of your questions. No I haven’t had to defend myself or my family with my firearm however it is my right. As far as the “three” step rule, I totally agree. Step #1- Pull my .40 cal.(not a .357) from under my pillow. Step #2- carefully take aim. Step #3 Shoot the sorry, too lazy to work, so and so! I have a step #4. Thank God every day that we live in a country where we can defend ourselves and to pray that we never have to use #'s 2 and 3. I have been through firearm safety courses twice. Once before I was married and once with my wife. I have been a member of the NRA for more than 20yrs.
Hey, if I decide to take up a life of crime, I’m gonna hit you first! While your trying to find your bullets for your .357, I’m gonna get away with your “guard dog”!!!(lol) Thanks for the debate and may you and yours have a Blessed and Merry Christmas and a Racin New Year.
Mike McGinty
Hey Todd,
You brought up some excellent points, Thanks.
May you, yours and all of the Karnacians have a Merry Christmas and a Racin’ New Year.

Thats terrible, but on the flipside, my first car in high school was 1967 Elcamino with a 454. Im still alive and have a clean driving record. Why legislate to others mistakes and mis judgment. Why punish the good for the actions of the bad.
Oh yeah, whats that old quote.
Outlaw guns and only the outlaws will have guns
Ok so what happened to the subject that started this group of posts? We are pretty far a field.
