Jimmy Weller III

For those of you that enjoy sprint cars, you will see Jimmy Weller III in the list for crate late models. A few years back he was almost killed at the Dirt Track at Lowe’s at their USAC/NST show when he hooked a rut in the USAC heat race. He’s had a long recovery and has been advised against racing on dirt ever again.

I had met Jimmy at Williams Grove shortly before his big wreck when he was driving the Dave Blaney Outlaw Experience car that I bought my dad a ridealong in. He’s a super nice kid. I bought one of his special t-shirts to help cover his medical bills.

Is it normal to have only 9 super lates at this point?

It’s somewhat normal to have a small pre-entry list, and yet a pit full of cars come opening night. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I’m pretty sure I know of a few Tour Mods coming that that are not yet on the list.
