Quad Scrambles

We had a pretty good day of quad racing, and the best thing is the EMS was bored all day. I wish I wasn’t so old and broke down, that looks like a lot of fun. We couldn’t have ask for a prettier day. Bob…

Where were these pictures taken? I use to do this sort of thing. Seems just like yesterday but it was 15+ years ago and I was considered old then. But I have trophies the kids didn’t win. It is the most physically demanding sport I’ve ever participated in. I still have a quad but haven’t ridden in a long time. :frowning: Oh man, I wish I was young again.

You and me both winger. Its a young mans sport. I too used to participate in the sport, but now all I can do is take pictures of it. I have a quad and it runs so often I must always fight stale gas, but its in my barn when I want it.
This course is in Myakka City on the Sugar Bowl Ranch. Really a pretty piece of property. 600 acres of pristeen Florida land. While we had the scrambles a national Champion, whos name I can’t recall held a riding school on 80 acres ajacent to us. Roy has a herd of Buffalo out there and countless Beefalo, cross between a buffalo and a beef cow. Beautiful animals. Thanks Bob…

Great Photos

Nice clear shots… ALMOST as good as being there.

What a chunk of property… I see some campers in the background… must be a great place to stay for a few days.

Thanks for the pic’s

OSF

great place

Hey OSF, Yes its a great place to get away. We live in the country anyway, but on the ranch you can forget about the world. Roy has about 2 acres under a giant stand of oaks with a cook shed. There is no electricity or running water. when we have an event out there we use generators and haul water. there is a natural creek meandering thru the whole property. In my quad pics you can see 2 crossings on the creek. the waters down because of no rain, but theres still quiet a bit of water. We had 4 events there last year and they all were 7 to 9 miles long, and were all completely different. Next time we have one if anyones interested you can come watch for nothing. I think the next one is March. Thanks Bob…
