Ok kids, here we go. Mark your calenders for Saturday, March 1. You can get a map to the track by clicking on the link.
Too bad I could not find a perfect night. I understand that 3-1 has a conflict with Auburndale and De Soto Speedways. So much for that famous speedway cooperation! They scheduled events on the same night as this!
Anyway, it will be a bunch of laughs. At least we’ll all have the time to collect a paycheck or two after speedweeks ends.
I’m taking this race as my big chance to get noticed. I’m still only 24 and am a media darling, a true marketing dream. A win here should land me a ride in a Super Late Model. After all, if you can win at Little 500, you can win anywhere.
Hey oval44,
Yes, there are three tracks there. We run on the tiny egg-shaped one. The lap times are around 12 seconds, so the scale works with what we are used to.
The largest track is for children. An adult or older kid drives and takes the little kid around the track at 5 mph. I figure that is about right for you. My son can drive you around if you like.
There is a second track that is slightly faster. It is for kids anywhere from 8-13 or so. That is probably the right speed for Larrytg and Demo Ray.
This pic is to help you recognize my back in a kart. Get used to it. The only way you’ll have your “Back To The Pack” will be when you spin or are about to go another lap down.
I was 3 years old in this pic and just wrapped up my 327th championship.
Boneman and others, wish I could be there but I am going to the Strawberry Festival with my wife and daughters. It is one of the things we do together each year before the racing season begins. I will miss rubbing sheet metal with most of you…we had such a ball last year. Lil 500 is the best, and when a bunch of crazed drivers, fans and officials get together the fun meter explodes…have a great time and please do not hurt anyone…

The picture is photo-shopped the real one had master on the front not mike. And bonehead try to get that Russell driver to come. He got a little upset last year.
Yeah, that was pretty cool. Here was Tim Russell, one of the hottest and most successful SLM and ARCA racers in Florida, yet he gets wore out at Little 500 by demo Moe! After counseling and some healing time, he went on to have a pretty damn good 2007. I bet he is coming back with his tire changers this year…
