[SIZE=“3”]Mount Airy NC driver John Smith said this past weekend that he will not run the Bowman Gray Stadium schedule this year.
Smith has seven career victories at Bowman Gray and came close to winning a championship only a few years ago.
“We are concentrating on running the Whelen Tour this season. It was a hard decision but the most we will run this year at the stadium would be the first race and the tour race later on this year” he said.
