[SIZE=“4”]Young seventeen year old Megan Reitenour won her third race last weekend at Hickory in the season finale for the new series called Super Cup Stock Car Series which are old Hooters ProCup cars. And it didnt come without controversy either.
Her fellow state resident, Ryan Miller, held on to win the championship points chase by less than ten points.
Reitenour was one of less than thirty to be selected for the driver diversity program provided by NASCAR.
This could lead to a ride in the NASCAR series for the Miamisburg OH driver. It has been said that up to 16 of the 24 slots has been taken. The jury is still out on the others.
As for now, Reitenour has to wait. Until then she is taking in racing in North Carolina that also includes a stop at the Hooters ProCup Series finale in Rockingham.
