went to the Tenney Christmas Year bash last night and it was pretty good. he can pick that guitar all right.
i did notice that they spent a lot of time wondering what to play and teaching each other songs on the side. so i figured i’d simplify things and give him a whole year to practice up. cause i’m so helpful. :ernaehrung004:
given the players and the crowd, what seems to go over well is classic rock, blues, folk and maybe a bit of jazz.
i figure this first request will fit right in with what he was doing:

Somehow I just can’t picture JT singing “Stand by Your Man”, so naturally that is my request.

yeah, my safety glasses are to protect the world from my eyeballs, rather than the other way around.

i bet it would look a lot like this:

couple more suggestions from me, how about some Fleetwood Mac … that nobody would think was the Mac -
not Santana:

not Joe Jackson:

that last one has a very long instrumental section. John’ll like that, he’ll get a chance to rest his voice after doing his Brian Johnson impersonation.
some ‘real’ Blues, as opposed to that Brit Blues crap…
Stagger-Lee / Stacko-Lee
Boom Boom - and that’s “Big Head Todd and the Monsters” + John Lee Hooker. not sure where he got ZZ Top from.
Todd, You have to much free time…LMFAO:engel016:
It’s a favorite of the horn section!
i want to see John do this song in a Rhinestone costume with mutton-chop side burns:

Bond Scott. Not Brian Johnson. Bond Scott was the first AC-DC lead singer.
I can’t even come close to Brian Johnson!
of course, we also need some songs that the lead guitarist can use to pick up some groupies.

and once you’ve got your specific groupy picked out John, you can sing her a little Billy Squier

i only suggest these because i know you’re classy and stylish. like me.
