“The driver list is really shaping up for Ocala.” states All Star series owner. This is an initial list with many more top named drivers on the way. Stay tuned for more details.
Terry McCarl
Danny Lasoski
Darryn Pittman
Dale Blaney
Lance Dewease
Randy Hannagan
Greg Wilson
Tim Shaffer
im surprised to see “The Dude” Danny Lasoskis name on that roster… first time ive seen his name since the old Tony days . saw him at Eastbay a couple years ago. he can race the wheels off a sprint car…wish ocala was closer! come pick me up in your plane Mike…lol
carolwicks aka OZZIE
Carol you might be the only “Dud” fan left. After his “sudden” departure from TSR the Dud has left a wake of good people hanging. Now Lonnie Parsons will get to see it first hand as Danny takes over the Casey’s General Store #6 car for 2009.
On a positive note, I can’t wait to see the 410s hauling the mail around Ocala Speedway. Counting the days!
oh i am not really a fan. have personal reasons for that but it doesnt take away his ability to race… i think he still draws people. maybe not TS fans tho… lol

Others that have announced they are planning on “starting the year in Florida” are:
Pat Cannon
Mike Erdley
Doug Esh
Brian Ellenberger
Mark Smith
Stevie Smith
Tim Shaffer
Many more will be letting their plans be known soon, and don’t count on a ton of support from World of Outlaws regulars, although there are always a few that will race with any sanctioning body.
A few guesses on who else:
Craig Dollansky
Jason Myers
Dale Blaney
Dave Blaney
Kelly Kinser
Fred Rahmer
Sam Hafertepe
Tony Bruce Jr.
Chad Hillier
Greg Hodnett
Dean Jacobs
Chad Kemenah
Brock Mayes
Paul May
Joey Saldana
Todd Shaffer
Danny Smith
Josh Wells
Lucas Wolfe
A few “pretty sure they won’t be’s…”
Steve Kinser
Donny Schatz
Kraig Kinser
Jac Haudenschild, unless he gets a ride other than the Carnahan R-19
Gary Wright will be at the East Bay 360’s
On one last note, I see where Kenny Adams is needing a sponsor to race in '09. Hopefully, some smart/rich car owner will know of his potential, and not allow him to become a spectator.
I actually read on another board (can’t remember which one) that one of the “pretty sure they won’t be’s…” is planning to be at Ocala. I can’t verify so it’s probably not true but it would be a coup if it was.
On a side note…I saw where there was an arrest in the murder of Summer Smith. Apparently it was the boyfriend and another guy. Good work by the Putnam County Sheriff’s office. Very sad story…
You know who I would love to see make the trip from the Midwest to Ocala is Brian Brown, Billy Alley and Brooke Tatnell. Ofcourse I would love to see my other main man “Hot Foot” Jason Meyers run as well.
I read, no Tony Stewart at the Chili Bowl this year. The team will be there but Tony won’t drive due to other commitments.
[QUOTE=ocalasp76;20156]Ocala dates are Jan. 29,30,and 31st. Dirt Mods and 410 sprints.
Check Ocala’s web site for times and prices.

Looks mighty tempting!!! Ocala may just well be my 1st stop for speedweeks 2009!
And don’t forget Johnny Johnson. A driver in his 70’s, with a chassis from the 70’s, he has made the trip to Florida every single year since at least 1983. Qualifies slowest, finishes last in every single race, but comes back every single year, with an open trailer, and no pit crew. Hell, I don’t think he has even changed TIRES since the 80’s!
That would be “Bad” Chad Layton to you, Mr. Frasson.
That’s quite a conundrum there because Mr. Postupak had a bunch of his stuff up for sale and Chad Layton was out of a ride, but in comes Jason Solwold (as HaudFan pointed out, should be the rightful driver of the R19) and poof, it’s back on the track.
I got to sit in the infield stands with Chad Layton’s dad and they’re just a super bunch of guys.
Did you see all the stuff stolen from Sammy’s team, Tom Rolfe? Something like 3 410 engine and a 360 engine. I hope they hang the sons of a gun who did it!
