Ron Hornaday, Sr.

Ron Hornaday Sr., a two-time NASCAR champion on the West Coast, died Sunday at the age of 77.
Hornaday, who won back-to-back championships in NASCAR?s Pacific Coast Stock Car circuit in 1963 and 1964, was the father of three-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion Ron Hornaday Jr.
Hornaday?s racing career spanned from 1955 to 1973. He accumulated 13 wins and 12 poles in the series that is now known as the NASCAR Camping World Series West. In addition to his championships, he finished as the runner-up in the final standings in 1962.
