Some of this is a complete crock, but Congrats to Joe Linebarier, and Bobby Diehl. Both very deserving winners!
Just curious as to how many different tracks make up the “Desoto Kart” series? I don"t think a “series” that only runs a few tracks could be put in the same league as the UDLMCS, which went to probably 10-12 different tracks.

In 3 different states as well!
OSF… you bring up a good point. Is there really a FAIR way to determine such things? I doubt it.
One thing I don’t like for sure, are the rules that you can “only vote once per day”. That leaves things open for a large group to continually vote over & over again for the same category.
If there was a way to only allow 1 vote PER PERSON, it would be much more accurate. Then again, there would be far fewer "hits’ on the voting page, which is one of the stats sold to advertisers. Not saying Karnac is guilty of this practice, but it IS widespread throughout the entire internet world. Like those “call-in” votes for American Idol and such. “Just $0.50 per call”… ever wonder who gets that income? I’d NEVER vote in something I had to pay for!
Online voting is just that, it is 1. a popularity contest and 2. one for the people who figure out how to clear cookies or in other poles that all you have to do is put a weight on the enter button. Another poll that was run on another website results showed of over 78 MILLION votes which is a total joke, RIGHT. We at Real Racin’ USA are going to do it a little different next year. We talked about it last night on the return of Real Racin’ USA LIVE from Eastbay Raceway Park.To listen to last nights broadcast “CLICK HERE”
Unfortunatley, all these comments do…is continue to drive the wedges between the different venues of racing on this board.
The poll, is what it is.
There were no “rules” set forth by the Administration, with the exception of one comment, “every vote counts”.
So anyones (10) votes should count in theory. Again, this wasn’t a vote for the Heisman Award. (which seems to have been flawed as well this year)
What I find interesting…is no one has yet to ask about any specific winner, and what their individual accomplishments in the year may have been.
With those answers, maybe some could find justification in the results…then again, maybe not. It’s possible those facts could further support some of your claims.
The Announcers did a good job of belittling any winner…and made comments that only proved their own prejudices and lack of preparation. (Which seemed intentional)
I still feel like a CONGRATULATIONS should go out too.
