Got a call saying there are 18 cars and there is alot of turmoil in the pits about gas and other things. Shame, the REAL ASA can only draw 18? This series is almost dead save your money.
BULL PADDIES Marshall !
18 cars in these times is a good show. how dare you try to keep people away when we work so darned hard to get them to the tracks. i cant believe you said that!
real ASA or not the guys who are racing are dedicated drivers and they deserve to have a crowd cheer them on… they ARE REAL!
you ticked me off! not a good thing!
OZZIE LOVES OUR RACERS!!!
I heard the same thing about a gas problem at CCMP .
That’s understandable AJ…
they all ate that chili! Get some BEANO !! then the gas problem is solved.
OZ
I didn’t hear anything about a gas problem last night, but I sure saw some wicked fast ASA cars. Jason was timing some of them in practice and they were turning low 15’s. 1 was 15:01 I think it was and that’s quick for an ASA car. Those 18 cars will on a whale of a show of which I have no doubt. If you can’t go I’ll have a video available in about a week. Thanks Bob…
Well Marshal, you are proven wrong. The 18 car ASA race was a barn burner.
They put on a very good show for the fans. THe whole night of racing was awesome. We had well over 100 cars in the pits and had 5 classes. I am glad no one took your advice not to waste their money. The stands were packed.
so a lot of people wasted their money, but funny thing they all enjoyed a good night of racing while they wasted their money. Bob…
Those that wasted their money!!!.
Thanks for those who Believed!!!

Well, I know that I spent most of the day under the car changing just about everything that could be changed but, how can someone who isn’t even at the track know that “there is alot of turmoil in the pits about gas and other things” and there wasn’t even a word of it going through ASA pits. I didn’t even here about it until today when I read Marshall’s post. Marshall, would you care to elaberate.
Carol, It was good seeing you again. We don’t get to see each other that much any more. At least I got my hug this time. I only got a wave at the last race and I still haven’t forgot.
It was also good to meet Jack Smith. I have seen Jack at the track for a few years but I didn’t know who he was. So, nice to meet you Jack and stop by anytime.
I went to every ASA South race last year and the fans at this ASA race was by far the best fans yet. CCMP fans rule.
The only thing I would have to say to Bobby that was negitive about the entire weekend was the autograph session. Bobby, what ever you need to do to have an on track autograph session you need to do it. That is a big part of the fans and drivers race day. It means alot to both of them. But we still luv ya anyway Bobby. Great Job. Keep up the good work.
The one last thing I have to say about this weekend. Everytime I saw those little cars with the big roof hatch I would think of Boneman. Imagine that.
I was there all weekend and never heard of this gas issue either. What in the world are you talking about?
Mr south it was nice to get to see you again, thanks for timing us when I asked you. Dustin did a heck of a job holding off the rest of the field and doing it cleanly. Good luck to him at SGMP.
Andrew!
i have missed you guys too. are you serious or delirious? i missed a Mr. South HUG? how did i ever survive? something must have been wrong with me! love u and your family! BUT!!! dont hug JACK!
… be safe.
Carol aka OZZIE
DeMan195, it is always good to see you. Glad we could help. It looked like we weren’t going to make it to SGMP because our primary sponsor did not come back on board for this season. But I got a call from our associate sponsor, Demarsico Custom Trim, who said that he would foot the bill for this race to try and help keep Dustin going this year. DCT has been on the car since our first race and without great people like this I could not stand a chance in this series. Are you guys going to make it?
And thanks for comment about the way Dustin held them off. He did do it very clean. Our car wasn’t that good in the race. The change I made before qualifing killed the car in the center of the corner but during the race not one car got a fender beside us. A few of 'um were complaining after the race that they were faster than us but they could only get to our bumper. They had about 8 perfect chances during the race to pass us but they weren’t close enough to us. Go figure that one out.
P.S. I called a few other teams about what Marshall about “termoil” and the best thing we could figure out is that Marshall was talking about “tech” when ASA checked fuel after qualifing. That happens all of the time in ASA. I guess where Marshall races at “tech” is “termoil”. ASA keep up the “termoil”.
