electric cars at 5 Flags speedway

There were twin, one hour long races at 5 Flags last weekend. I understand that the track management really liked it, and wants to make Electrathon an annual event.

BTW: I see a former electric driver from Milton High School is leading the bomber points at 5 Flags.

I bet these are like watching the bandelaros race a 1 car feature.

They only made two laps before the power cords got tangled…

The one on the outside pole also doubles as a blender…

A lesson for promotors: our winner started LAST!

Ed - Bandoleros are much quicker than us! However, we have to be clever and do a lot with a little.

Announcer Dave - You are right about the cords. We had to have a competition yellow every 3 laps.

so there like your ministock?

Great, Now the head dummy in Washington will triple the Carbon Tax and say If they can race them you can drive them. :frowning:
Put an Antenna on it, sit in the stands and you have a very large RC CAR.
The ONLY WAY to save racing is to support a track. Did you know that the sporty car races have had a JUMP in both attendencs and car counts.
SCCA had over 900 at the runoffs. :ernaehrung004:
PS: Thanks for the post Rex

Are they all three-wheelers? If you can run four wheels, I’d like to see one of these with like an outlaw Late Model wedge body on it (like an '80s dirt Late Model) :stuck_out_tongue:

When the extension cords get all tangled up with each other do the cars become magnetized?

George - They are interesting things to race, but I sure don’t want anyone TELLING me that is what I have to drive. Also, SCCA participation is WAY OFF here in Florida. They are down from 250-300 car per event, to a hundred or so.

J-Mac - Most are 3 wheelers, but as you can see, the car on the front row has four.

Edm - You are just envious because we can race more than once a year.
