Jeremy Mayfield, so sad

NASCAR driver Jeremy Mayfield tested positive for methamphetamine during a random drug screening May 1 at Richmond International Raceway, ESPN The Magazine has learned from two independent sources. Talk about a career altering situation!!!

Don’t believe every thing that you hear on ESPN. But, I guess it will all come out in the laundry.

The big losers in all of this are the fans. I feel bad for the twelve people in the stands wearing Jeremy Mayfield shirts and hats that are hoping he can drive his way from last up to a 32nd place finish after some other cars fall out.

Who will finish last now in all of the big races? What a dark day for NA$CAR.

I’m wondering about the (unnamed) independent sources…

All others involved are to remain hush hush by court order till the mess is fixed.

I’ve got to wait and see how this all comes out. I’m not about to pass judgment now. I’m aware that both medications he was supposedly on, can be misused. There are also very legitimate uses for them, regardless of what that article says. I speak from personal experiences and knowledge. If all he had to do was go through the drug treatment program to be reinstated, why didn’t he. Maybe it’s because he is actually innocent and doesn’t want the stigma attached to him. Maybe he just doesn’t want to admit he has a problem. I will wait and see. It took years for the truth to come out about Tim Richmond. He basically died with the stigma of drug abuser because of NASCAR.

Conspiracy theory, Another way Nascar is rooting out small money teams. Robby Gordon is next.

Where did you read about tim richmond being a drug user? I know he died from aids I thought it was from sleeping around with all those girls not from drugs

You’re correct, He died from Aids. However he was suspended from Nascar for failing the drug tests and refusing to give them his medication list.
