Bob Ellison sent some programs to me from Citrus from the Early 80’s wow the names I have forgotten.Junior Purcell , Kenny Vaugh , Fred Phelps ,Rick Wilson,Dave Breakfield ,And Howard Turner.Anybody know where these guys are
we need them at the next Blast…I am still scouting the programs will let you no who else I run across.
See if you can get Jim Childers, Billy Gill, Pletcher, Scarborough, Wayne Reutimann, Dave Dunkin, Ernie Bass, Randy Warren, etc. 
These guys all drove our cars at one time or another.

Who Remembers this Driver
Kenny Vaughn passed away a couple of years ago, Dave Breakfield lives in the Charlotte, NC area and Rick Wilson still lives in Bartow as far as I know. Pretty sure Junior Purcell still lives on the west coast somewhere. Shouldn’t be hard to find. No idea on the other guys.
I have been in touch with some of the drivers you mentioned Mr.Little and the ones I spoke to said they were coming .I hope you are coming too.It looks like a whole lotta fun .It was last year .I hope this one is better and bigger .
Fussy Tyson passed away in the late 80s while he was still racing at citrus.
Someone look into getting ahold of Roy Skinner, he was one of the greats until a work accident left him in a wheelchair, after that he was promoter at Citrus in 1982. Hopefully someone can get ahold of him.
Others to consider that raced there are Lucky Whitton, Bruce Gaskins, David Olzanski, Dick Fonda, Harry Mumford, and Sam Sessa
Dave Dunkin and Jim Brinkley Sr. would be another 2 to get ahold of

Is Howard Turner one of the ex-drivers you’ve already talked to?
The reason I asked is that I recently bumped into Yogi Bear at a function we both attended last year and I think I can get back a hold of him.
I do know he rides his Harley to the races at East Bay regularly.[/SIZE]

he drove a super six at golden gate and auburndale for me i think he won ever race he finished did not matter were he started
he has a son eric purcell that races at bradenton he will be at blast from past it hard to reach him on phone

Everyone please if you can get in touch with any of these racers I want very much for them to be a part of this event ,I need all the help I can get .Jim Brinkley will be there .I have talked to him I spoke to Frank Johnson ,Butch Yoakam and a lot more.I will post a list shortly.It never hurts to tell them about it when you see them or talk to them.When you run into them tell them about the reunion race and give them my phone number.I am getting the invitations ready now and want to send them out by next week. Rick Wilson was helping his son Travis Wilson a few years back in ASA. I am not sure what happened after 2007 but we did not see him in ASA after it. I do not have any contact information for him other than I found Travis’s myspace page.

well i know that fred phelps still lives in lakeland seen him at auburndale last year, dave dunkin still races at auburndale as of last year. i know some other names you can add…edward howell, richard brinson, eddie king, steve francisco, jimmy castleberry, david king.
