Frassapooloza Bar-B-Que update

Jerry, we are on for Saturday, right? Do you need a grill this year? The Ace hardware here in Titusville has a HUGE one to loan out for free.

I’m going to have a car on the trailer, so I won’t be able to deliver it. But if you are interested, I am sure we could find a way.

I just got back from NY, and more broke than I have been in a looooooong time. Had to spend a bunch of money I didn’t really have, and business was just horrible while I was gone.

As the week goes along, I will get a better handle on things, but as of right now, I can’t make ANY kind of commitment. I’m sure I will be there (hopefully both nights), but can’t be real generous with the grocery shopping. A few people have stepped up and offered to bring a few things, and as usual, I would love to take care of the cooking itself.

But, in all truth, this was always meant to be an opportunity to see/visit with the people that I have come to know all these years… in other words, the friendships have always been more important than the menu. With that said, we will do everything possible to make it as good as it can be.

So, I hope to see everyone out there, and we will have fun and some laughs regardless of what kind/quantity of food that will be offered up.

Hey Jerry…
Not in the greatest shape either, but let me know towards Friday what you have and I will be able to help out with a some stuff for it…

Frass, check your pm.
Maybe we can all drink gin and eat spam warmed up over sterno! I’ll bring my grocery cart/urban camper.

dammit.

I was hoping to make it over there to hang with my homies…

but…

here at the FD we have had a rash of injuries on my shift lately and as such it puts a hamper on how many people can be off for any given shift. And because I have to be at work on Sunday morning coupled with the fact that if I went I would want to be there for the whole day, enjoying the company and sipping a few brews, I’m just not too keen on the three hour drive back to my side of the state in the wee hours of Sunday mornin’…
I am getting older, ya know.

BUT…my good buddy Steve (Jerry has met him) will be there with his lovely wife and their big ol’ motorhome so if you see him, feel free to walk up and punch him silly. Just make sure you tell him that it was meant for me and he will understand completely. (not the first time it will have happened, trust me.)

So have fun gang and I will make my usual phone call to Jerry or Rex while everyone is standing around drinking and lying about their racing endeavors.

PS…Jerry I did get your message the other day but I was sitting in a treestand and couldn’t answer back…hope ya had fun at the Bay and next time give me a little more notice (you dickhead) and I will for sure hook it up, brother.

As always,
Hoe Jai

(sorry…MR. Dickhead…I won’t forget again.)

I just bought 20 lbs of chicken…its a start.

Bringin’…

Virginias’ tator salad and some sodas and chips.:huepfen024:
RV in the shop for warranty work…gave them a Friday deadline. We will be there Saturday. Not racin’…no $$$$$$$
-JIM-

Well hell Jim… Would love to see you back up and running over here, but being able to visit you and Virginia will have to be fine…

Hey Jerry

I have to work Friday night but should be able to make it on Sat. Keep your phone nearby!

Hey boney…

pics are so good. everyone looks like theyre having a blast. i wish there were more people like you in the world. you are almost always so positive and happy that it reflects on people who are lucky enough to have you for a friend. did ya catch the word “almost”? hahaha
i really enjoyed looking thru all of the pics. your son is so handsome… looks like his mom! hahaha
thanks for more smiles… love it.
Ozzie

Yes, the kid is great looking, and yes he looks like his momma. BTW: he earned his red belt in karate tonight, so he is dangerous too.

I think you are referring to the thread about the Little 500, but I appreciate the support. Did you figure out transport for the reunion or the 200?

Well guys, Cindy and I had hoped to be at the Governors Cup this season, and we still had hopes up until this past weekend when it became apparent that my cancer treatments were not going to allow it. I’m at that point where I just had to go out on med leave from work so no income until my temporary disability kicks in, plus I couldn’t eat or taste the food anyway. So you guys drink a few and eat a lot for me, and I’ll hopefully be there next time.

BJ

i have not responded too much lately but I have to take this opportunity to congratulate you… Your courage and your faith are to be commended. You never ever complain and yet we know how tough it is to deal with cancer and chemo…
you are constantly in my thoughts and prayers and I pray so much that your treatments will get rid of the cursed cancer. Sometimes we pick on each other and I really dont think some people who post know how many people in our racing family have faced crisis of one kind or another. I really think they would be kinder if they had any idea.
You never sit around feeling sorry for yourself and you are always supporting something good for racing and the people in the “family”… so what I’m saying is please keep up the fight and win it! God bless and keep you safe.

Boney…

really want to go to the reunion… i have one problem and it isnt really a problem. Just a choice i have to make. i get the kids at noon on Saturday and have them until 4 on Sunday. I hate not having them… soon they wont want to spend weekends at Nannys so I want to hold on to every second. I have been raising kids almost all my life. Started out taking care of my sisters when my mom disappeared. Had my first son in 1959 and have raised three generations… This will most likely be my last so Im hanging on to every second … If you want to give the ticket to another friend please do… i can buy one…im still going to see what happens… thank you for the nice offer. No one Id rather have fun with and be surrounded by friends who are having a wonderful time. One of the most fun nights ever was the Sunshine reunion so I think this one will be awesome too. Ronnie Bacelo sure does know how to organize rediculously fun times! He is crazy as a loon!..;-)I will positively be in touch before then.
