There are, as we swim through the river of life, certain people who touch our lives in special ways when we least expect it. Rick Bristol and I first met 12 years ago via my work running the KARNAC.com web site and Rick at the time working for one of the race tracks. As was typical for me in those days, I had a beef with certain things at the race track and so Rick and I had numerous conversations in which we argued our points. We basically agreed to disagree and over time became ?racing friends?.
For many years Rick ran an event to help Florida children in need at Kissimmee, Fl. We got involved at KARNAC in helping Rick promote his events and one year all the KARNAC staff at the time attended the event and raced in the go-karts and generally had a wonderful time. Rick grew up in an orphanage and is a devout practicing Christian. He is a man who walks the walk, every day and in every way. His time growing up parentless helped set the stage for his devotion to helping children, and along the way he found a special relationship with Jesus Christ.
