Take a bow flvideo!

Well done on the Hialeah reunion video! I don’t watch a lot of TV, but I can tell you I didn’t move a muscle while your video was on. I think you and Rob captured an amazing perspective, something I had never noticed in many years out there, the heros of my youth really loved the track, the friends and the fun of it all.

At the time, I noticed that Dick Anderson, Bobby Brack, Billy Barnwell and the other giants of the era were extremely competitive and took it very seriously. Now looking back, to a man they reflect on how they loved it and will never forget it. I guess that gets lost or covered up in the heat of the moment.

Anyway, I sure liked the video and highly recommend it to anyone who was there, and to anyone with an interest in the history of Florida short trackin’.

Thank You Rex I enjoyed doing it. It was a labor of love.

Hey Bob, The “Dirt Knights” show will be shown on http://modfury.com/ if you want to catch it. I saw this posted on 4M and thought I’d pass it on to you. I would have posted on the other thread but that’s been hijacked. LOL

I will check that out. When does it run? Did you watch it?

Episode 1 will be Jan. 7 and episode 2 on the 9th, according to the site. I didn’t see a time for episode one but I only took a quick look. I watched part of it on VS but switched to the news during a commercial and didn’t check back. What I saw wasn’t too bad. It didn’t look to be great racing because it was a black slick track. From a videographers point of view, it could have been better but the editing just used short quick clips. I did like the fact that they showed the drivers they were following racing with Ken Schrader and Kenny Wallace but never made a big deal out of it. Just like they were any other driver. I also liked that they had a microphone in the helmet and the driver kind of described what he was doing and his thoughts while racing. It was real time and not an interview after the race. I think the show has some potential. Just have to see how they end up producing it. I think it would be neat to follow a couple of “young guns” around for a couple years to document them. Then make a show out of that. I can think of a few I’d like to follow.

I checked out the site I wil try to watch it there Thursday. It looks like a neat show.
