these are the sportsman rules for pgs as of 10/2010 straight off of thier rulesheet. I hope they have not changed, and yes i am sure i mispelled 50% but i am sure you can read it

stock steel, fiberglass, aluminum, fabricated subject to tech aproval… Bumbers mandatory front and back no sharp edges, or opend ends…Lexan Windshield… SSTOCK or FABRICATED firewall floorpan… Ground clearence 4" body, frame, skirts… Spoilers 6" not to exceed width of body.

Roll Cage
mand. 4 point min 1 3.4" .095 Steel tubing… 4 horizontel bars driver door 3 passenger door. …Front/ Rear loop optional.

Chassis/Suspension

REAR…May fabricate rear clip, all suspension mounting points must remain in stock location underslung OK…steel multi or mono leaf springs,NO composit/Fiberglass…adjustable shakles lowereing blocks and sliders OK…wedge bolts ok rear coils minimum 5" diamater…coil spring cars must use stock trailing arms in stock location upper and lower…NO 3 Linkrear suspension.

Brakes
aftermarket pedels/masters OK…brake bias front to rear ok…steel single piston calipers…4 working brakes… disc front/rear OK.

Drive Train
Stock or 9" floater spool/locked OK…NO ratchet carriers,No quickchange, NO positraction…engine mounts opt. #1 plug even or ahead of left upper ball joint…Stock clutch or 7 1.4" multi disc OK…aproved scatter shiel w/ inspection hole…stock transmision w/ all gears operational.

Wheels/Tires
steel racing wheels 8" wide…large studs, 1" lug nuts MANDATORY…track approved tires (goodyear)

Fuel
track approved fuel…fuel cell max 22 gallon…NO electric fuel pumps.

Engine

I find this quite funny…Toyotas, Hondas, Volkswagens, Hyundais, Nissans…are all OK as long they’re powered by:
