Dust Collector night

Ok, here is another idea that can’t miss. It costs the tracks nothing, it makes the young fans happy and gets them involved in racing, and the drivers wives and girlfriends will love it too. Sound impossible? Consider this: its just an interesting twist on the old and tired autograph session.

Any driver who has done a little racing will have accumulated more trophies than he/she will ever need. I know I have 3 bins of them clogging up the attic.

Advertise “Trophy Night” at the track, and have the drivers bring in their stash of old trophies. Some guys will show up with 50, some won’t bring any, so split them up and everyone will have some. Then have them take the trophies out to the track for the autograph session. It could be like trick or treat: each kid goes to the car of their choice and gets one. Make a limit two or three to each young fan.

Some drivers will run out, so then the kids can go to their next favorite. Keep the rules few and very simple, they will all end up with an armful of dust collectors, and our houses will be a little less cluttered.

Yeah, good idea Boney!!

We, the fans need some fun things to watch at the race track instead of racing. Remember the old bean eating contests?? Or watching a bunch of corvette fuming aroung at 50mph? Now those were some great entertainment for the fans! I’d love sitting in the stands watch people fighting over a bunch of antique trophies. Would take what, half, three quarters of an hr. The fans would LOVE the action. Boney, stick with your day job. Maybe you should apply for a promoter position with FASCAR!!! after all, why should anyone go to the races and expect to see races instead of bean eating contests or antique trophy give away? Hahahaha. “oh my aching tuna!!!”

Sorry!

I forgot, getting old I guess. Boney, can I please have one of your trophies.? The thought of having my heroes trophy on my mantle makes me feel all warm inside!!! LOL

oh Boy… this may turn out to be an even more interesting topic than I thought…
