I just started racing a 78 Camaro last year, when I craked my stock windshield in an accident. I was given a piece of Lexan and figured I would use that instead of glass so that I would not crack my windshield again. It was to small to fit in my race car in one piece, so I cut it in two pieces and welded a suport down the middle. I was told not to bolt the lexan in place because it would crack, so I went to home depot and bought adesive that was designed for lexan. When I tried to install the lexan, I could not get the glue to stick because of the cuve in the window, and I can’t C-clamp it in some places to hold the glue while it dries. CAN ANYONE HELP!!!
drill 3/16 holes , rivit in place with 3/16 aluminum rivits about 3 inches apart . it shouldnt crack if holes arent too close to the edge and lexan sits flat on mounting surface . start from center and work your way out . but personally i would go buy a sheet of lexan and make one to fit in one piece . good luck !
