TQ's get ready to start 2011

The FMARA will begin their 2011 season this Sat. night ( March 5) at Punta Gorda Speedway. Good car counts are expected for the whole season and everyone is geared up to start. Geoff Styner will be driving for a new car owner and with a new car. Also with a new car is defending 2010 FMARA Champion Ted Durfee. Mike Belusar, two-time runner-up Jamie Barnum and Styner should be there to put some heat on Durfee as he attempts to win back-to-back Championships. Queitly looming back there to sneak in the points race could be fourth generation driver and 2010 Rookie of the Year Chris Gimmler along with second generation driver Jay Stutz. Making his 62th consecutive season behind the wheel is 80 year old " The Legend" Jack Duffy, who is always within striking distance of a championship. Speaking of the Rookie of the Year… 2011 Rookie of the Year will be a great battle. We have three really good guys running for this years title. Stu Chamberlain made few starts at the end of 2010, Steven Mair will have the former # 17 car, and John Ciolino will have the former Championship car # 26. This battle will be one to watch all season long. With the great drivers, car owners and fans that support the FMARA, we should have great battles throughout the field at every race. With alot of side-by-side racing and passing, there could be alot of surprises at the end of the races. Please come to the track and support this great series. This could possibly be the only open-wheel series racing on asphalt in 2011. Hope to see all the fans at the track!
