Punta Gorda Speedway !!!!

Unbelievable. I think there were about 3,000 people in the stands, on the grass, and in food lines! the pits were jam packed and the place shined! all fresh paint and just beautiful!
i dont think the staff were prepared for the amount of people who showed up and we ran out of food and had long long lines but they did a great job considering. Linda and Krista did all the scoring and that boggles my mind. how the heck did you do that? lol… its actually a team effort to run a show like that ands all the employees deserve a thumbs up! the new announcer is upbeat and sounded very professional. when i could hear him. between my old ears and all the noise around me it was hard to hear him at times.
Melanie kept the restrooms immaculate until everyone had gone. all night it shined and never ran out of supplies.
It was so good to see people i hadnt seen for awhile. i never got to see Bubba because it was just too crowded. he didnt have a great night. got involved in the huge truck wreck…Love that #14 truck. in fact most of the racers did a wonderful job getting their cars all spruced up for the first race of the season. thank you kevin and staff for a fun night of racing. whewwwww wish all you people in the stands would quit smoking. im gonna be in an iron lung soon from your cigaretts! hahaha

wish we could have been there, but since they are not running mini stocks until the 19th of next month, and are only gonna run about 16 or so races we’ve decided to go some where else to race. sounds like they had a good night, thats good news!!! keep it up!

It seems most of the classes are running in the 12 - 16 race nights for the year. While this may seem like a bummer at first if you decide to run for points later in the year it will be a good thing not having to thrash week after week after week keeping the car race ready. The reason we picked PGS this year was just for that you can race for points but still be able to have a life.
Saturday night was impressive with the car turn out and fan turn out.
