After a lengthy down time, the owner of Midwest Racing Scene (formerly Michigan Racing Scene) is pulling the publication out of the mothballs. The new and improved version will be available April 21st, and the website will be up in early April.
This different than the MARC Times?
the answer is–
In answer to your question; I really don’t know for sure.
MARC Times Racing Newspaper ceased publication in July of 2008, however their website is headed with “MARC Times/Michigan Racing Scene”.
Right there is a little bit of something, and I don’t know why it’s labled as such.
Their weekly pulications were what made me a speed-reader. Terry Fitzwater, the owner of Midwest/Michigan Racing Scene, might actually be venturing out to fill a void, and I’ll bet he knows where to find a warehouse/office, with printing presses, forklifts, shelves, and transportation vans to deliver his new and improved paper, at a cheap garage sale price. Sounds to me like that he is giong to go at it again, with or without the Beebee’s, who owned the MARC Times publication, and website.
That’s just my guess. But what the heck, at least he might make it on his own now, as long as the subscriptions are there for them.
MARC Times, Checkered Flag Racing News, and NSSN are no more right now, so he might really have a fighting chance at it.
I wish him the best of luck.
Soooo…is anyone going to subscibe to the newest race paper?
