More bite from a "Z" link

I sure could use some help trying to get more bite out of my modified with a z link. What would be some good starting points for bar angles top and bottom. I have 6 degrees of pinion angle and cannot get this thing to hook up at all. The track is dry slick, covered in rubber and I am running “A” compound tires and going no where. I just put new bilstein shocks across the back and am having no luck.
I am going to try making the left rear a swing arm and see if that helps.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
