Buzzie won his heat by about a half a lap, then started 2nd in the feature, with Jeff Mathews(33) on the pole and Kyle Bronson(40B) third, and Jim Passino(34) 4th.
They started 24 cars, but as usual it was like a Demo Derby. It is very frustrating to watch a race when the drivers can’t run a lap without bringing out the yellow, most of them are out of control, and tonight it wasn’t the tracks fault. This was my fourth visit, and i have yet to see the race go the advertised distance due to the time expiring.
Although the car Buzzie ran tonight looks like his new one, which i posted from YouTube, it was actually his Blue car with a new body. He still hasn’t run the new one yet.
Buzzie seems to be getting better with age. What’s that? 3 wins and a 2nd in his last 4 races at 3 different tracks. It couldn’t happen to a better person. billy
Ocala had a very fast track last Saturday night. Nobody was willing to “give & take”, quote from Buzzie in Victory Lane. I can only imagine how frustrating it was for the drivers trying to get something going. It certainly was trying in the stands. I would’ve like to seen just how far Buzzie would’ve checked out.
Good point Tuna, most of the problem was from mid pack back, guy’s were driving over their heads instead of trying to get a rhythm going, quite a few spun on their own which would collect 4-5 more cars.
As Billy Badd said “three Feature wins and a Second in 4 weeks at three different tracks”, if the time hadn’t expired, he may have won the night he finished Second too.
One thing that stands out about Buzzie is how smooth he is. Maybe a few of the ‘out of control’ guys should take a night off, and watch his car control, it’s what has make him a ‘Legend’ in dirt track racing.
YUP! gotta go meet that old man!! (Just barely older than me, so thats not derogartory). Most people learn patience with age, I wonder how old i’ll be before I get some??? LOL
when you get to meet Buzzie you will meet a true gentleman… an awesome person… have known him for yrs. and he never changes. He is what he is and what he is is GREAT! on and off track.

I know you’re right Carol. I know if trash likes him he;s ok. Also my friend Bobby Judkins knows him or of him in N.E.
Tuna, i asked Buzzie if he remembered Bobby Judkins, he did remember him.
One thing i wanted to mention about last night…after the heat, Buzzie had a hole in one of his pressurized water lines, we didn’t have anything to splice it with. Jeff Mathews (#33) came over to our pit to see if he could help, without his help, Buzzie probably wouldn’t of made the feature… i’m sure Jeff knew Buzzie was giong to be his toughest competition in the feature…Thanks Jeff, you are a class act.

Thats what its supposed to be about!
Teamzero, actually it was his Blue car, the same one David raced a couple of weeks ago. Buzzie took it up to David last week, David and Brian Pattie put a new body on it. This one is identical to his new Shaw car though, except this one is a Harris car.
