Hi all
Just wondering if anyone else got to see the hall of fame tribute program to richie that was on Speed channel this weekend. Great footage and nice stories from his family and friends. Got a laugh out of the “Run for second six packs”. Is there any plans from the karnac nation to attend the ceremonies!

I do know my colleague here at the ISC Archives, Eddie Roche, will be flying up on the company jet for the induction ceremony… I expect he’ll shoot a few photos… The France family just gave us the HOF suit jackets given to them at the first induction ceremony to honor both Bill, Sr. and Bill, Jr. They are on display here now…
I can’t believe I have not noticed that your avatar is a C Rig. Only those in the know, or those that were tuned on to NYSD racing would know what that picture is…
I can’t make out the team, is the truck blue?
I could only think of about four or five teams that have blue rigs…what team is this one?
I knew the name, but…
I have heard the name. In fact the fisrt place I had heard of Richie was bach in 1997 Dave Bissentt was one of the original FASTRUCK Drivers (then it was the American Race Trcuk Series) that had his truck done up in orange in honor Richie Evans car #61. But when I started watching the show I was glued to the TV. What a Driver he was. And yes, I love the part about running second for most of the race because the first paid $10.00 lap money but Budweiser paid a six pack for second place lap money. Richie must of been a lot of fun. If you missed it DVR it. You will love this guy was the BEST at Short Track RACING!!!

I believe they are still having fun to this day. One of the few reasons i miss n.y. If your a former long islander …Facebook has a "fans of islip speedway " page. Great pictures and stuff from the track. Drop me a line.
