Dirt tracks aren’t real caring either friend, maybe this is part of the problem.
Hetzneckers post hit the nail on the head right there…
Getting the rules out promptly would be in the tracks and racers best interest. Looks like the responsibility changes and holidays slowed the process.
I cant say I dont agree with you but to help for now feel free the give me a call if you have concerns. Not that much changing just so you know.
I have been trying to upload the rules since last week and have experienced one problem after another getting them to post properly… I can tell you they were all updated and even working for a brief stint on Friday…
For now, until I can get the issues resolved, I am uploading each divisions rules in PDF form for downloading and printing…
Once I can get the issues resolved, all of the rules will be available for viewing on the website as well as downloading and printing.
Official rules
Race start next week and no rules
crate / llm rules
what are the rules for the combined class for speedweeks.
All Rules for 2012 are now available at NewSmyrnaSpeedway.org as PDF files. Each Divisions rules file also includes General and Safety Rules.
Again, my apologies for the delay. As soon as I can resolve the issues with the Website, the rules will all be available for viewing online, on the website.
Gotum’…thanks.

Unless I misunderstood LLM rules/ Pro lates are the same rules speedweeks as all year. If you guys give NSS a email or call they will get right back with you. I emailed and got a call back from Ricky Brooks the next day.
Does this mean Ricky Brooks is the new techman this year ? or just for speedweeks as usual ? it would be awesome to have a him there year round .
Really? Not only did they make it so that the limited’s can run with the crates during the weekly shows, they also made it a combined class for speedweeks??? Maybe its been this way every year but I’m pretty sure it hasn’t. If I remember correctly the LLM’s and Crates were two seperate classes last year, crates could run with limteds if they wanted but not the other way around. I understand that its a big change for the seven LLM’s that run every week, but you can’t half ass a class change. What Pro’s are going to show up to run with cars that outpower them by 100hp at a “Horsepower” track (please spare reminding me of the one time that a pro car won during a limted race at speedweeks). I understand an “adaptation period” when changing rules or classes, and believe me I feel for the guys who own the LLM cars because it sucks they have to change but its for the good of the sport and the class, but you gave them a whole year? Give them 5 races or until June…a whole year? I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. Basically there is no new class until 2013 because this is the same as it was last year, pro cars could always run with the limteds and that hasn’t changed. You made the change to Pro’s to even out the class, make it more competetive and increase car counts, do it fully and right. I hope I’m wrong and people will show, or that I missed something in the rules that makes the cars even. Please tell me there is something different about the limiteds than last year, if not it will completely defeat the purpose of going to Pro’s this year. If not I’ll see you in 2013, this year I’ll keep towing to 5 flags.
Limited, supers, latemodels.,crates…the end result of NoT forcing rules and keeping cost down.Imagine a latemodel-- 1 class–This is where dirt has ya!
Dirt Late Model… I feel for the guy who has invested monie. Not any one persons fault. But thres too many classes–Late Model–jmo Rob

Actually dirt has supers, limited, crates, etc. That’s one reason most locals don’t race with the WoO or Lucas series when they are in town. They also tweak the rules with spoiler size, weight, etc. so the different cars can run together at some tracks and series. Even supposedly similar series such as the NLMS and the UDLMCS have different engine rules. Just wanted to clarify that things aren’t that much greener on the other side of the fence. But I agree there are too many classes of the same type of car.
