Mr. Westerman: Do you remember the Florida Racing Association or have any pics, literature, etc. about it?
I think this was the organization that tried to get the drivers, particularly at Golden Gate, to band together for higher payouts etc. Raised a lot of stink and got Will Cagle banned from there for quite awhile…
Think they tryed to put on some SLM races the last one was in 1980 at Desoto speedway.
They rented the track and promoted there own events…It was a train reck.
That could be another deal just rember there last race there.
