Did you know. You better pay attention or you may lose PGS track!

This is from Pam Seay. She is the main one that has keep the Speedway open. She has work very had against others that think that the Charlotte County Air Port would be better off without the track. If you live in Charlotte County you need to spreed the word to vote for her or you will loose the Track!!! These are just my thoughts. It’s up to YOU!!!

[B]Did you know…

According to the Florida Department of Transportation, the Charlotte County Airport Authority’s Punta Gorda Airport has an annual direct economic impact on this area of over $51,000,000 (51 million dollars!)!!

According to the same study, FDOT shows that the Airport has an indirect economic impact of another $28,000,000! (28 million dollars!).

Good management, quality oversight, and a positive vision for the future is what makes this happen.

I am Pamella Seay and I have been a strong advocate for this airport for over 15 years as a commissioner. If I am re-elected, I intend to continue this success through active involvement in airport activities, economic development, marketing, and oversight, and I am asking you for your vote on November 6 (or earlier!).

If you’d like to see the study, here is a link: http://www.dot.state.fl.us/aviation/economicimpact.shtm

Remember these are just my thoughts. From what I could find out is that her opponents are not into racing. One is even looking to build a housing developement next to air port land. You know if you build houses next to a race track the tracks days are number!!!

who would want to build housing next to an airport and commercial trucking lines.

Just what I heard.

All I know is that within a half mile there are three areas of houses that would raise heck with the air port any time we ran 5 minutes pass the curphew (just trying to finish a night for the racers and fans). And if you drive up and down the Interstate there are homes on both sides. Don’t think for a moment that the developers care about the race track. If you care you, better get with it or it will be to late. GET THE WORD OUT TO CHARLOTTE COUNTY VOTERS!..

Pam has been a supporter of the track for many years and we do appreciate that. However lately I am not so sure. Before anyone goes and votes for Pam because she supports the track they should ask her whether she thinks it should be run by the private sector (Kevin and Terry) or turned over and run by the government. It is fairly common knowledge that she supports the airport authority taking over operation of the track. Government ownership and operation of the track is not the answer. “Keep government out of our racetrack.”
We the voters of Charlotte County need to know were she stands now on this before we vote and how she has helped in resolving the parking problems the speedway is having?

We do appreciate her support, the track has many supporters, but we need help and action now and everyone knows Kevin has had no help in this matter.

Linda you have been there longer that anyony.

Linda you have been there with LeRoy, Myself and now Kevin. You would know more than anybody how much Pam loves and work at keep that track open. She is only one vote on a board of five. I am sure she will reply to your post. I would love the see all the upgrades that Kevin and Terry had done. And I truly believe the Air Port doesn’t want to be in the race track business. They have enough on their plate. Kevin is a good businessman and knows what he’s doing. It sure looks GREAT in the pictures and he needs to run it forever. Now to get down to business if anyone has a Motorcycle please call me. I am putting together a Bike Run and other things to help promote Pam staying in place to help keep the track we all love open. Here’s my number again 813-817-7223. Remember I am a Teacher and do not get out till 4:30. Leave me a message and I call you back to you during my conference period. And as I said it’s up to all of us to KEEP THE TRACK OPEN!!! It’s up to you.:sport009::huepfen024::sport009::ernaehrung004:GET THEM TO VOTE!!!

It’s coming together!!!

I spoke to Robert from the Parrot Magazine. He’s giving me some contact names of people who would love to join in. Also if YOU have any idea’s of where or what we do to have some fun promoting the re-election of Pam Seay. Remember that we need to help make sure that the track has a pro race track person on the Air Port board. I have been talking to many of the old contacts that I have and are ready to get on the BAND WAGON and have some FUN!!!

Too bad man I was looking forward to the race…

Man thats too bad. It would of been a heck of a night. I sure hope Kevin and Terry get Dan’s race on next week with the Supers. I sure was looking forward to seeing all the improvement that Kevin and Terry have done in person. Oh well I guess next week have to do. I still going down to meet with Pam and some of the stop on a Charlotte County Motorsports Tour. Maybe I can catch the staff anyway. In that business you can afford to take weekend off. It’s a 800 lbs Gorilla and always demans work on it. There is a wine tasting at the river in Port Charlotte. Come and taste some grapes. Hope to see some of you soon!!! Remember if you live in Charlotte County and love to race we need to keep Kevin and Terry’s place open. Help get the word out: VOTE Pam Seay it’s our BEST chance to keep racing. Call me if you see the need.
