It is this confusion about decisions is why we do not race at NSS any more. would like to rejoin the fun but you all can’t seem to make up ypur minds.
What this refers to is the Limited Late Model Spec motor that was used in the Limited Late Model division, and a few companies (Progressive, Jimmy Cope, …), built them using the same parts, and then they sealed them like the crates are sealed. From what I understand, for 2012, you could run it “as is”, but had to weight 2900 with 56% left and a chip. Also, from what I understand, “as is”, is not an option next year. You can run the Spec motor, but you have to use a 1.15" restrictor plate. I ran my LLM Spec motor car with the Crates at Speedweeks last year with the restrictor plate for one night. BIG HORSEPOWER DROP WITH THE RESTRICTOR PLATE. So big, the next night I took it off and ran with the Supers the rest of the week. As far as I am concerned, they can do whatever they want, I am running with the Supers again.
Thanks for the reply, I guess I understand, sure seems like three engine builders are in and the rest are out of luck, probably a kick back to the track owners I would guess. Does any of the tracks let a open comp motor run, 355 aluminum head dry sump motor, lefthander chassis 2800# car. Thanks
I guess that means everyone with a 2bl engines have to support the other tracks seeing fascar does not want our bussness
