We will have more on the event and the total amount raised for this years event hopefully all ready by Monday. We still have silent auction stuff to finalize and collect along with a couple other things out there.

I think that tech at this year’s race was terrible, you went from taking engines and transmissions totally apart to just removing a carburetor to look at the intake with a flashlight. Now that’s making sure that everyone is legal

The fear of getting caught kept the cheaters away. Whatever works !

Just a question here… If it’s the Charity Truckers ‘200’ why was the race ‘100’ laps…? In the past, it truly was 200 laps.

My understanding is that the 200 refers to the total number of feature laps for all divisions. Trucks 100 - Bandos 15 - Karts 30 - Legends 25 - Figure 8’s 30 for total of 200 laps of feature racing. Little off though as the Figure 8’s did not run and the Trucks fell victim to the time limit, only running I believe 93 laps and then a green, white, checker. (Of course if they had counted caution laps they would well have exceeded the 100 scheduled laps.) Very good and entertaining night of racing, The announcers did the best job I have heard at a race in Florida for a longtime. Btw, Plainville Stadium in Ct used to advertise their races the same. Come and see 150 laps of racing, which meant combo of laps including features, heats and consolaltions.

Answers to Nelson and Fras

First Nelson,

I have tried to be polite, have tried to let things go but you truly amaze me. First you accused of us busting you on purpose and for stuff you say you did not do, the facts totally negate what you said both times. Then you get busted by another track, but I am the one doing wrong. Please sir. I like you guys and think Nick is a good racer, but you really need to look at the facts. You have continued to come to our series races and stir trouble in the pits, talk about me and Carl and everything else. I simply say let the record speak for it self. Now I will not talk or respond to you again, but you come on here on my results thread and once again say stuff, I will respond now. Go run the Late Model now, since I assume the trucks wont work for you anymore. By the way little complaint from anyone that was actually racing in the event and not there to stir trouble.

Fras we originally did run the 200 Lap, however when the economy took a turn and sponsorship was tough when we tried a 100 Truck and 100 Late Model. We decided to leave at 100, as this saved crews from buying 2 more tires, having extra people and fuel for pit at half way. We made it a 100 Lap Green Flag event with a 90 minute time limit. We also had this live on the radio so we actually ran longer than the 90 by 15 minutes, but had to end green white checkers a bit short of the 100 total laps to be able to finish on the air. We run more than 200 laps for the weekend, but try to have 200 laps on the Saturday night show, we did have to cancel the Figure 8 because of a scheduling conflict, but it was a great show non the less.

Agreed, sure was a great show. Thought maybe Bennett #24 was going to get to Darvalics #41, but never came about. #24 did a great job getting to second. Jessica Murphy was putting on one heck of a drive, after going to the rear, before mechanical issues sidelined her late in the race. Had a great time during the on track activities. Got to speak with Jessica Murphy, Becca Monopoly, Sam Scott, Dylan #7, and a host of others including James Glover. Joey Coulter was a pleasure to speak with as well. What a great group of competitors. Also spoke with the Bando guys as well as several Legend drivers. Really can’t say enough about these drivers. Also like to add, that even though my few dollars I spent on raffles, etc will not do much, it still felt nice to help a little., I was astounded by some of the dollars that were being donated to the charities. Seems as though it was a great night all the way around. Rick, this was my fourth Charity event I have attended and am glad to hear about Dec 7th in 2013. As usual you have done an excellent job with this race. Congrats to you and all those that helped. As a fan, I can truly say, I enjoyed both nights of racing. Thanks to all of you…

Its funny how the last 6 years the 41 team complains about the chevy crate motors being sealed and are still illegal…now he shows up with a “sealed” ford crate motor and it rolls thru tech free and clear no questions asks…would of made sense to check the trucks a little more. A lot more than just intakes and sway bars that can give you a advantage

41 team has been against crate motors forever… Now all of the sudden they have a ford crate motor with “seals” and he is good… ??? No disrespect to Rick but it is what it is!!

The series and racers have been breaking the 41 teams balls for years about his 305. Adding weight to him and tearing him down. The guy gives in, and gets a crete engine and now they are after him again! Smart driver, good chassis, they seem to work on there truck, and they win, I dont think it really matters which engine they run, ford, chevy, ect… it wont really make a difference. Maybe you all can get them thrown out of the series for just winning all the time…

So the assumption is that all crate motors are illegal. Nice.

do u guys really think its all motor?

Darvalics is also a Sprint car driver, where things happen in much quicker time. Racing trucks probably feels like slow motion to him… and therefore can get a lot out of his equipment. In his case, I doubt the motor has almost anything to do with his winning… it’s his control behind the wheel.

The motor isnt the only thing that can be illegal. Basically they have checked trucks front to back in past races and inside and out. This year not so much. Why have a rule book if you never enforce the rules that are in it?
